It has been three months since I ordered and paid for a power and solar system from Contrex. After a lot of e-mails and promises from them I have lost more than R4000. These guys are a ****, be aware that they are *****ing your money with promises of follow up that will be done by their so-called Shipping and Handling team. I see recent positive reviews from people claiming they received their product ordered less than a month ago, while I have made payment three months ago with promises of follow ups every now and then. I think they do these positive replies themselves to ***** even more money from customers. Do not buy from them, you will loose your money.
So two weeks ago I went to my local ABSA branch. The consultant was very helpful and by the end of our conversation I was given a settlement letter, sent by the credit card section. I was informed that they will pay over the settlement amount from my checking account and close the credit card. So come start September 2024 I find that all the money was withdrawn from my check account, more that the settlement amount. On 2 September 2024 ABSA make me pay for life insurance and interest, after they were suppose to close the account the previous week. I went bank to my local branch and the same, very professional consultant assist me again. He tries his best to assist me and after a long conversation with the credit card department he is informed that they will correct the mistake they made. Now I have to travel to the branch in my neighboring town a week later to see if they corrected the 'mistake'. I tried to settle both my credit and check accounts, without success. This is the worst service I have ever received from ABSA. All my life, since birth, I am a customer of ABSA, previously Volkskas. No wonder their business is going down the drain. Next Ombudsman
I bought a caravan from this business today. I have been communicating with the sales lady since last week and she was very professional in assisting me. Road worthy and registration of the caravan was a breeze and I received it in excellent condition. Will really recommend this firm if you are looking for a second hand caravan. I had the most excellent service from these guys of the Kemptonpark shop. I ordered and paid the Tuesday night. The items were delivered to me on Thursday morning before 09:00. Fast and effective service.
Three times in three months I am struggling with capitec to receive money that was paid into my account. First two times I had to confirm my bank details with the bank with my employer because overtime money could not be paid into my alaccount. After waiting for almost three months and struggling to survive my pension is paid into my capitec account, with proof of payment sent by the pension fund. Money doesn't reflect in my account. They tell me to wait 24 hours, nonsense it was suppose to reflect immediately just like my salary reflects almost instantly when the state paid in my salary every month. Capitec started with a bang, but now they are an absolute mess.
Just tell me why Sasol has reward points? I only full up at this garage in Wolmaranstad. Today I filled up and we're told I can only pay with my reward card if I fill up with any amount less than what is available on the card. Well seem to me that I must now change garages. I am now tired with the runaround that I am receiving from ABSA Trust in Bloemfontein. My mother died in January 2022 and soon after her death I tried to report this to ABSA trust in Bloemfontein. I was told by the security guard at their offices that I needed to report the death via email, which I did soon afterwards. Since then I have been struggling to get any answers from their office. I have sent various emails requesting feedback only to receive an automated reply and your personnelle not coming back to me. I was sent a final statement in December 2021 that was not correct with a policy from Metropolitan that was not claimed even though I did send the policy numbers of all policies to ABSA trust. One of the beneficiaries mentioned had died, even before my mother and that was not taken into account. I phoned my financial adviser and he confirmed that the Metropolitan policy has been paid out to ABSA Trust before the date of the final statement. Only in January 2022 I was contacted and informed that there were death claim forms from OldMutual that I needed to fill in, which I did and sent back to ABSA Trust. During middle March 2022 I contacted the person working with my mother's estate that assured me that the estate will be finalized by the end of April or the start of May 2022. I phoned her on Thursday 5 May 2022 and she informed me that OldMutual had not paid over the death claim and that she will phone me back that afternoon. It is now Monday 9 May 2022 and still no feedback from her. I am furious because of the lack of service from ABSA Trust Bloemfontein. I think that their service is very poor and absolutely unprofessional.
If I could give no stars, this business would have received that zero stars. My father in law passed away just after Christmas 2021 in Coligny. It was very difficult for the family as we could see him slowly passing on. Only his wife, daughter and grand daughter was with him that morning when he died. The person who came to take away his body, first of all had no sympathy or even empathy with the women at the house and made remarks such as 'Yes his dead, he has been dead a long time.' What kind of person says this while the family is still around. After that he chases all of the family out of the house so they can remove his body, just tell me why, no chance to say your last goodbyes, you just sit there outside your own house an see the body in a body bag being put in the he****. Does these people have no training on how to handle situations like these? I believe not. I have been a police officer for more than 30 years, and never in my time as a police officers have I handled a situation where someone died , in this absolute unprofessional manner. Then two days later, I myself had to go to their office to pay for the funeral and related costs. Bank card in hand and the limit on my card changed to pay, 'Sorry we do not have a card machine'. The Bangladeshi tuck shop across the street from me has a card machine. The next day my mother in law must run around to get a death certificate, only to find out that my father in law was never taken to the District Surgeon to be certified as dead, a role this business must perform before removing him to the funeral parlor. So in conclusion, I will ensure that nobody from my family make use of this absolutely unprofessional business again.
I submitted a claim at their office in Bloemfontein. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and friendly. She sent the claim to the head office and explained to me that I will be contacted by SMS and email. One week later with no response from the claims department I submitted it again with all the required documentation, eight days later still no feedback. The Bloemfontein office was excellent but the head office seems to be ineffective. What a shame.
These guys wants to do business. Within 5 minutes after I placed my order, a consultant phones me to confirm my order and inform me about the shipping. One of the best businesses I ever did business with.
