They accepted my booking, took my money for a holiday rental. I arrived there and they told me they can't give me my car because I have bad credit; a thorough insult from someone who took R2,5k from me. Some truly rubbish service. At this point they still have my money and I'm STILL careless. I had to change my holiday plans. I even asked for a regular at which point they refer me to a 'broker' website. They take people for a ride and are very condascending.

In July I was driving to a family emergency 3 hours from my home. I experienced some problems by way of a loss in engine power. I immediately called into the Roadside Emergency Service for urgent help. What followed was anything that can go wrong with customer service. After 2 hours on the phone with the call centre i was quite simply disgusted at their conduct. It was not the end of it, after them towing my car for a warranty repair, i was made to pay for both the repair and the towing.

This was still not the end of it. I subsequently called the call centre and outlined in detail my case based on i) family death, ii) my family's safety, iii) my own reasonable judgement, iv) the failure of MB to stick to their end of the agreement. I asked them to review my case and a refund arranged. They have responded with a flat NO and no explanation.

This is one example of how you can actually mess up a very good relationship by lack of just LISTENING to your customer.

I have started the process of selling my car and I will be looking at legal action.
