As First Technologies are Dell equipment suppliers their products are not inexpensive. Today is the 15 July, I contacted them on the 11th and explained the urgency of my purchase. I was told that if I paid on the 11th and it showed in their bank, they would deliver on Friday. I did this and put through immediate payment. I also once again explained the urgency, I even said that I would come and fetch it, no collections were against policy. Friday not machine. Monday, I am told at lunchtime, that it would be delivered today, I still asked if I could fetch it, once again, no it was against policy and would be with me today. I am phone 5 minutes ago and told the driver's don't want to bring the laptop through to me today. Now all of a sudden I can come through and collect it. At 15h00 in the afternoon. to drive through to Midrand from Randburg! Why if I can collect it now, could I not collect it on Friday. The sales side is brilliant - logistics terrible, do not use First Technologies unless you have the time to wait 1 week for delivery. If I was aware of this, I would have rather just gone to Incredible Connection and walked out with the machine last week.
I just do not know what to do any more. In January we found our Internet banking site was blocked. We were told it was because they needed to update the FICA information, we have signed forms, we have gone into the Northgate branch twice and it is now almost a month later and we still cannot access our internet bank account. We are trying to run a business - this is nuts.
Mazda Randburg have no idea in how to fix their own cars. I have a Mazda CX3 - this car is not even 2 years old. Since October I have not been able to drive my car for a week combined. I have taken the car in 4 times, today will be the 5th. They do not bother to keep you updated, but this is actually because they are not doing anything, the service manager Paula let it slip that instead of sorting out the car it had been parked in their parking lot. After many promises, Mazda said the car was working, I got it home and within 2 hours the lights went on! I phone this morning and the service manager is too busy to take my call. What can I do? I am paying over R6000 a month + insurance for a car that sits in Mazda, oh and that does not include the money I have spent in labour and parts ................... what happens to the service contract? I am paying for that as well.
