My father passed away in 22 October 2017. His testament specified that that ABSA to be the executor and ABSA appointed Snyman de Jager attorneys. To date it has been 5.5 years and nothing has been finalised. Every time I have called, I have been promised that they are working with it and it is in the final registration phase. This is the worst service I’ve ever experience and not what a person would expect from bank like ABSA or any registered branch of attorneys. I would recommend that ABSA and Snyman de Jager not be used as an executor. Clearly the attorneys and/or ABSA are incompetent in handling deceased estates.

bought a used Mercedes ML 350 CDi from Rola Motors in Somerset West in July 2015. The windscreen had a chip right in front of the driver which they unlawfully fixed. I did not want to accept it because it was a nuisance. They told me that the windscreen cost R6000, from which they will pay R2800, which they did by upgrading the nav system in the car. I replaced the windscreen, but the price was not R6000, but R13000. The side mirror was also damaged and it took them 8 months to fix it. Within a few days after I bought the car, I found that the car shudders and lags for a few seconds with pull-away. I took the car to Rola’s workshop for a complete check. They replied that nothing was wrong and that that model is supposed to lag and shudder. I then took the car to Eikestad Motors in Stellenbosch for a second opinion. They found that the turbo was faulty and replaced it. Eikestad Motors acknowledged that the car was faulty and recommended that I take it back to Rola for them to contact Mercedes SA. Rola motors however demanded that I pay the air ticket from Johannesburg to Cape Town, which I refused to pay. After I threatened then with legal action, they got the technician from Mercedes SA to come and inspect the car. He found the problem, but refused to fix it under the motor plan, because at that stage the car was out of motor plan. I told Rola motors to inform Mercedes SA that the problem originated while the car was still under motor plan and that it was written on the job card. Rola motors just ignored my request and told me that the cost was for my account and gave me a quotation of R26 000.00. I took the car to Eikestad Motors which replaced the ValveBody for R31 000.00. This solved the problem and my car runs like a new car, without the shuddering and lagging. It took me 11 months to get my car fixed due to Rola motors staff not only lying to me, but was not interest to solve the problem. I tried to sell the car after 6 months, but because of the problem, I would have lost R90 000. I took the car back about 10 times and was without the car for 2 months.
