Very disappointed with the service received after purchasing a Toyota Vitz from Durban South Toyota last month. My mother paid cash for the vehicle, and unfortunately, once the deal was done, there was absolutely no customer service. Within two weeks, the car broke down and would not start. It also struggles to drive uphill and cannot even make it in first gear. We have left multiple messages, but the sales team never calls back. Carlos, the salesperson, made promises that have not been honoured, and we feel completely misled. No assistance, no accountability, and not even an offer to help with an alternative vehicle at the same price. Paying cash should not mean you receive zero after-sales support. Extremely disappointing experience.

I was previously a Liberty financial advisor. Liberty is the only insurance company out now that attracts Financial advisors as employees on the basis that they will pay the financial advisor 90% commission on every sale up front. So when a client cancels the contract liberty deducts the 90% commission from the next sale the Financial advisor makes and so on...Financial advisors will do anything to make that one sale happen even taking u to Mug n Bean at the FAs own expense liberty does not pay for transport or failed sales or cancelled appointments at the last minute. But they deduct every time a client cancels...Liberty is cutthroat even to their employees. If the Financial advisor resigns they still terrorise the financial advisor for the 90% commission. No ethics, not a righteous company you can see even from the way they treat their employees. Terrible company to work at terrible company to invest your retirement in....
Do not become a financial advisor for Liberty Life, They will destroy your life destroy your career. So in 2015 I signed up to become a Liberty Financial Advisor or wealth planner or whatever else they choose to call you. They offer 90% commision and very nice medical aid. Dont be fooled by the 90% commision as when you resign (and you will resign when you see you have been driving around 24/7 all over the city using your own petrol money from your own savings and liberty promises you 90% commision which after deductions and that stupid medical aid you dont even use it amounts to less than R4000 a month) they will be blacklisting you for the 90% commision back. Once you get blacklisted in this country theres no moving forward and getting other jobs in this country you will forever have a back mark on your name like you cant manage your money properly. It is horrible being blacklisted in SA. Anyway the worst job you can get in this country is as a Financial Advisor for Liberty!!! You work for free then you get blacklisted
Afew years ago I made the worst decision of my career, I signed a contract to become a Liberty Financial Advisor in Bruma. Having spent years of my life working in an 8 to 5 job with a stable salary, I cancelled my pension and thought I could live off my pension for a few months to make ends meet asa nice financial advisor. The managers signing up the naive rookie advisors made this sort of work very easy and doable and attractive. After 1 month of training which I had to pay for myself, plus 6 months later of having received no salary I had managed to signed up 5 clients. I had scanned the original signed documents to Liberty Storage sites for access for any other financial advisor to review. I resigned in December, and of the 5 clients I had signed up with Liberty, 4 of them had cancelled. My total biggest salary in the whole 6 months I was with Liberty came to R4,000 something. When signing up as a liberty financial advisor, the recruiters make the position more attractive by saying you will be given 90% commission on sales upfront. Other financial advisors from other companies like Miway or Discovery all get so excited about this they also start joining the liberty team. Little do they know about the expensive medical aids that is compulsory, not optional, or the other security and parking and admin fees that are sucking at your 90% commission. Leaving you with little to survive on. Four clients that I had signed up had all cancelled at personal costs to me - my own petrol, phone calls, printing costs. The 90% commision doesnt cover all the costs I had to make to secure the 4 clients. That job was a waste of 6 months. Months later Liberty handed me over to debt collectors to recover the 90% commision that I had tried to make for Liberty. I am sitting with a debt of over R20,000. Liberty debt collectors is asking me for money I did not even receive that went towards parking, admin, security and an expensive medical aid that I didnt even use or want??? Years of working in a finance environment plus a stable salary, with a clear credit record, one bad reckless decision of signing a contract to become a financial advisor with Liberty has resulted in me facing blacklisting and warning other people who see this review to never ever sign a contract to become a financial advisor with Liberty. They are crooks who make money from the innocence and naivety of others who are trying to make it in life :(
