This is by far in all the years renting the biggest challenge with Berader Properties. A week before my lease expired I had a break in at the apartment. It was such a struggle to get footage even after they requested to pay for the footage of the complex, I agreed to pay. It has been 3 months now and still no one has had any effort to assist from their security company or property agent. The SAP sandton were also no help, they say they will request this from the agent and suddenly I get an sms to confirm the case was resolved and closed. I didnt NOT request this matter to be resolved as I strongly suspected security in the complex being involved. They are the only people who walk past the back end of my unit each hour. No investigations went further and my situation was dismissed. Sadly on the day I moved out, a tenant also approached me with a similar issue of theft while in the house just like us. My burglary took place while we were in the house asleep. the thought of this sickens to that considering this happened 2 week before my burglary, no one in complex brought it to our attention to be wary apart from having a group chat. Apart from this painful experience and loss we endured, the agent debited my account in error for a months rental after I exited, which was an issue as I had to use this money of MINE to secure a new rental. I had to wait a few days to be refunded. They have been debiting the rental since I moved in and funny had to request my bank details for the refund which was paid into someone else's account as I accidentally forward the wrong bank details to them. What concerns me is their recon of over debiting and short debiting my account over the year they eventually paid me the deposit less leasing charges that too was short paid. I investigated further doing my own recon matching their statement to the debits and found that they owed me a further R700 odd. The entire 2 months, going back and forth with them being told that no one can assist of confirm when they can refund the shortfall the paid me, was horrific and I want people to know that this agent in Sunninghill - Chianti Lifestyle estate is the worst experience and I will NEVER recommend anyone to rent with them. To date, my refund amount I was not able to get back sadly as I sent the wrong details I am aware of. But what I dont get is that for the entire year they debited MY account the correct account, but when they refunded they suddenly needed bank details. This was my most frustrating, loss I experienced with this agency. They continue as if nothing as I am almost sure many others have taken more than a loss with them as well, which is not bring brought to the communitys attention. It is so frustrating that MTN have customer service email address for cancellations etc but is never actioned. On my personal capacity for 1 I have a personal contract which was month to month, and yet upon requesting immediate cancellation in November, they yet continue to debit my account and tell me my last debit will be Jan 25. If I have a month to month, why does it still take 3 months to cancel???? They are prolonging issues and doing this to so many people, it is basic theft and when they eventually do cancel the contract, they dont refund the excess amounts that were to be refunded. MTN has not honoured the month to month as they advertise. 2, our company has completed the formalities with requesting in writing and submitting the cancellations to be done in October, and yet to date they still debit the account. This is the most disgusting service form all the network providers in getting assistance to cancel. They do anything for you to sign us and avoid when we choose to cancel. They should not be recognised as a reputable service provider in the industry.!!!
