If i could give it zero stars i would. Its meant to be a care facility for the elderly or severely injured patients. My dad was a patient at the facility. His belongings were stolen (ring off his hand ) a few clothing items and shoes, even though they claim to have cameras within facility and when we try report it nothing was done. His personal hygiene products were depleting in size everyday but we would find him unwashed or taken care of, sometime you find food shoved in patients mouth and left as is. Every time you complain the care givers or nurse will give you an attitude or ignored. I know im not the only complainant several other people who have or had family members at the facilty who complain of the same issues. If you looking for a care facilty for a loved one do not opt for Care@midstream sub acute step down facilty.

Hi im writing this review on behalf of my parents with regards to the service they have recieved from Hirsch's Meowdale branch. My parents bought a refrigerator from the branch and withing the first week of usage the fridge had faults. the fridge is utilized to source out water and ice cubes, upon our first week of using the fridge the water dispenser had stopped working, when we tried ccontacting the facility to exchange the product overall or get it serviced they told us that the fidge is not under warranty which is weird cause even an appliance as smalll as a kettle has product warranty they opted for it to get service as the fridge was said to not have any guarantee, the technician came along and fixed it, a few days later the ice cubes stopped forming from the fride which was anothr issue and water dispensed was fairly warm. we kept going back to hirschs to get a replacement as going forth the fride either gets fixed and the either the dispenser or ice cubes wont form. the fridge has not functioned with both operations since . we have been logging in complaints and wasted a few trips to the branch as well. in summary the ! year minimum product warranty has depleted and we stuck with a half operating refridgerator. accprding to my knowledge

In terms of section 56 (read with section 55) of the CPA, all goods sold to a consumer are sold with an implied warranty of quality, that cannot be contracted out of or revoked. The warranty gives the consumer the right to receive goods that:

are reasonably suitable for the purpose that they are intended to be used for,
are of good quality, free of defects and in good working order, and
will be durable and usable for a reasonable period of time.
If goods are found not to comply with these requirements then:

up to 6 months after receiving the goods;
the consumer can return the goods, or
get the goods replaced, or
get the goods repaired.
The consumer can do any of these things without penalty and at the suppliers cost. A general ‘voetstoots‘ clause will be insufficient.

However, a consumer will not be able to return the goods because it was defective or not suitable for the purpose if;

the consumer was made aware of the specific defects, and
the consumer agreed to receive the goods in that condition.
Because you have to mention the specific defects and general ‘voetstoots’ clause will be insufficient to get out of the section 56 warranty.
