I’m been led to believe King Price insurance is in the business of stealing cars and panel beaters are in on it. I was referred to Randow Panel Beaters by King Price. To give context, I stated in Ferndale and they are in Alberton. With so many panel beaters around me in the Randburg & Sandton area, I asked why so far and they insisted they have a relationship with them. They agreed on quotes and everything between themselves & when I went to collect my car in the new year, the panel beater said they prices had gone up and wanted me to pay 3 times more than what they had quoted. King Price argued that they don’t know the panel beaters and I certainly didn’t know of them either. I’ve been told this is what they do to young people likely dealing with car issues for the first time. I have written to the ombudsman for short term insurance and intend to take all parties involved to task. In the interim I can only warn unsuspecting people looking for insurance not to use this company.
My car was taken into Randow Panel Beaters in December of 2017 after the panel beaters & my insurance, King Price reached an agreement & they approved the quote. I took the car in and when it was time for me to pick it up in the new year, they said car parts had gone up and that I need to pay an additional R60k making the total R89k from the R19k they had quoted and agreed upon with the insurance. Firstly, I don’t know these people and had never been to Alberton before. I got a run around between and King Price to get my car back and during this time learned that it’s a scheme to steal people’s cars. After numerous phone calls and emails, I went in person and met the owner who was very dismissive and dare I say racist! He did not want to hear anything I had to say and literally left me on the floor. Interestingly, while I was there for this visit, there were people outside complaining about the poor services of this place. The accident started a ripple effect of unfortunate circumstances & I have not been able to address this but I’m finally back on my feet & have the capacity to take them to take to task.
<p>I excercised my cooling of period a day after signing up with Gym Company. The reason for my decision to withdraw was because of the poor vantilation on the premises & people's bags were just piled up at the reception area. I only realised after three months that they had been debiting my account & called their staff member, Ofentse, whom I had signed with at the Bree branch. He requested that I go in & we could address this with their accounts people, which I did. They both assured me that this had been resolved and advised that I return the debit form my bank as it would be the quickest way for me to get my refund. They continued debiting my account the following months so I made three more trips to their branch, at which point I stopped the debits with my bank. In all the trips that I made there, the manager, who they referred to as Mel did not even have the courtesy of seeing me. They have me listed on TransUnion as owing them R9000 (for four months' worth of premiums) & all they can say is 'sorry'. They have no idea what the implications on their recklessness and incompetence are. I am so livid. What I hate the most is the blame game that happened again when I went to query this & again no manager was available to address this!! This is absurd!!!</p>
