Day FOUR of no dial tone and no line sync. You have still done NOTHING to even acknowledge this, let alone fix anything... The Fish Hoek infrastructure has been a joke for years now, mediocre service since MAY 2015 especially; but, ZERO attempts to upgrade or rectify the whole town’s connectivity... For example: Over SIX MONTHS and the box connecting our house to the mains is still just left open! CONSTANT issues with corrosion and damaged cables... Now again, all the fibre cable work ****s our service (which was tragic on our 10Mbps line anyway, usually lucky to get a sustained 5Mbps.) When is our telephony returning? When do we get internet again? What value of downtime rebate will we get? (I suspect we all know the answer to THIS one!) What’s going on‽‽‽
I called Alan on his mobile number, as listed on the website. I explained (or at least, attempted to,) a gutter leakage problem we needed repaired, but he kept cutting me off and asking questions about the size of the hole, which I didn't know. He said "we don't do gutters", despite it being a service clearly listed on their website. He further said "there's no money in it" and "he won't waste his time coming out to even look at it" because "it costs more to fix than is worth it for him." And on & on it went. I suggested that they change their website to reflect that they don't do guttering to which he replied "yeah, maybe I'll do that" followed by an immediate "bye", after which he simply put the phone down on me. His tone was obnoxious and patronising and clearly, somehow, he must be making enough money with his apparent sham of a company to not bother employing any tact or actual service. I'm completely put off and recommend that nobody use them at all. Shocking treatment from a disinterested, blatantly rude man. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE folks.
