I bought a tombstone for my dad at the beginning of November 2020. The head was installed without any problems. I was actually impressed with the service. They promised to come and put up the body after 2 weeks. Over 7 months later, I am still waiting. A made hundreds of calls to them and were given different stories and excuses every time. Earlier last month I asked for my refund and I was promised that it will be in my account in 7 days. Few weeks later, after many phone calls again, I am still waiting for my refund. This is really disturbing, as I wanted my father's burial site to be decent.

I disputed the claim because the envelope was written my name but the documents inside were written three names and their id's included. </p> <p>. I was told that my documents were not sent to anyone but I only received them a week later. Why a week later? Was someone in possession of my documents like I am in possession of someone else's?</p> <p>. Three weeks later I am still in possession of those wrong documents and the owner is waiting for them in KZN and I am in Gauteng. How ridiculous and irresponsible can the bank be?</p> <p>. Worst of all, they give their client my contact numbers so that she can get the papers from me. What about the Right to privacy and non-disclosure of personal information to third parties?</p> <p>Standard Bank, you should be ashamed of your sloppy customer service</p> <p>.</p>
