Horrific Bird Lice Infestation, Mold, and No Maintenance – Shiraz Villas is Unlivable I have been renting at Shiraz Villas for a year now, and I am beyond disgusted by the living conditions and the complete lack of care from the landlord and rental agent (Celsa / Rent Smal). The unit is infested with bird lice (bird mites), confirmed by pest control after two full fumigations. These parasites are everywhere — in my clothing, furniture, cupboards, and even in my hair. I constantly feel them crawling on my skin, and the bites are painful and itchy. It is impossible to sleep in the house because of it. The pest control company confirmed that this is not ticks or fleas — it is a bird mite infestation coming from bird nests in the roof and ceiling areas. These parasites multiply quickly and crawl down through ceiling cracks, windows, and vents. The problem is so severe that normal fumigation and so-called “pest control boxes” will never fix this. Bird lice require full structural treatment: the entire roof void, ceiling, vents, and surrounding areas must be treated and sealed professionally. I’ve spent money on cleaning products, sprays, washing all my clothes repeatedly — but it’s impossible to keep up when they keep falling from the ceiling and walls. The house needs serious professional work, not half measures. To make matters worse, many of the other units in the complex are empty, wrecked, full of mould, dirt, and water damage, and have been left open for months for anyone to walk in. This makes the infestation and overall hygiene even worse. The entire complex smells musty, with visible black mould growing on the walls and ceilings. Even though rent keeps increasing, there is zero maintenance or repair work being done. The landlord clearly does not care about the health or safety of tenants, and Celsa has done nothing meaningful to address these serious problems. Tenants have complained for months, and we are all being ignored while paying full rent to live in these conditions. I am now lodging a formal case with the Rental Housing Tribunal and reporting this to Health and Safety / Environmental Health, as this is a clear health hazard. No one should have to live like this. Shiraz Villas has become a disgusting, unhealthy place to live, and I strongly warn anyone considering renting here to stay far away until this complex is properly cleaned, repaired, and treated.
<p> </p> <p>Dear Telkom </p> <p>As of today this will be the last day that I am fighting with you due to false products that was telephonically sold to us by your unprofessional staff. If I receive one more message of you threatening me to send my details to the credit bureaus, I will for sure make sure that this will go further. Telkom is one super unprofessional company with untrained staff and no managers to help you. I have to wait six months for you to help me and after six months of struggling and opening several cases, emails, hours of phone calls, you keep on failing in coming back to me. All you can think of is the money that you think I owe you. I will not pay R2741.00 for a product that I never used and that I am fighting for six months now for you guys to sort it out. The collection department picked the product up at my home, but noooooooooooo one has the audacity to call me and sort this **** out!!!!! You are the worst network providers on this universe with the worst service a client can ask for. And no I get sms's of you erasing me to pay you money. If you don't sort this out, I will take this case further. You make my name bad and my life you but in bad hands because of your **** service.</p> <p> </p> <p>I will not pay that massive amount of money, for a product that was falsely sold to me by your untrained staff members!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>Sort this out, because if there is no response with a you calling me, not sending me an email est. <p>From of July we as a family telephonically purchased a product through Telkom to receive 11GB of data and another Sim card to make calls - as much as we want. Okay the best part R130 per month to pay, FOR THIS FANTASTIC DEAL. We were so amazed and made sure that we receive these benefits. Okay we received this package and after three days of usage the data was done. I made a call to Telkom and the agent told me, no your contract is a Hotspot 10GB with 500Mg to use at home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How on earth can I professional agents sell us a product, repeatedly telling us via the phone that we can us this data at home the whole 11 GB. After this I packed these devices away. First month we received a bill of R836.47</p> <p>How on earth this is possible if we did not use the product since that day that we found out that the product was sold to us under false circumstances?? They deducted this from my account also. </p> <p>Okay - then after several call we made to cancel this contract and to get our money back, the next month a R1001.00 was deducted from my account???? How do you explain this, after that many calls were then made, we spoke to Telkom's Financial MA Mister. Naidoo we send mails and he promised to help us, but wait as of today we still got no feedback. This week another R2000 were deducted from my account. I see that I am making Telkom Richer and paying them for who knows what?? Really how many times should I call to receive help and to resolve my case. They do not respond on our mails or to our calls!!!! Telkom as a scammed business that only wants people to think how great their networks are and for the CEO’S TO HAVE EXPENCIVE VACANTIONS!!!!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMARS. MONTHS AGO I SEND IN MY CANCELATION FORM, BUT NOOOOOOOOO ONE HELPS!!</p> <p>In fact I called this morning and the Agent told me, our contact is still active.</p> <p>I am legally taking this case further going to my lawyer and to the papers, any possible form of media I will take down Telkom for their terrible service!!</p> <p>How will Telekom help me now? I am in the process of also being blacklisted, because each time they deducted money from my account I send it back, because I am not paying for Scammed products that are falsely sold to us by inexperienced sales agents!!</p>
