Be careful when buying a car from this company. Purchased a car from KZN Branch. Car broke down in less than 24 hours. Bought a second car from Nelspruit branch that broke the same day. After admitting fault in writing and only after being threatened with legal action I was promised a refund. It's been three months and I'm still calling daily to try get a refund. I am now forced to take them to court to recover outstanding funds that they put in writing they would return according to the rules set out in the CPA. Beware. They will send a generic response to this message and not resolve anything.
Dear WeBuyCars Team and potential customers I am writing to create awareness to your business practices regarding my recent experiences with your branches in KZN and Nelspruit. KZN Branch Incident: I purchased a vehicle from your KZN branch, and the car broke down less than 24 hours after the purchase. This was extremely disappointing and inconvenient. Nelspruit Branch Incident: After returning the first vehicle, I purchased another car from your Nelspruit branch. Unfortunately, this second vehicle broke down within just one hour of purchase. Violation of Consumer Protection Act: According to the Consumer Protection Act, I am entitled to a full refund for faulty vehicles. Instead, I was forced to accept a repaired vehicle, which is against the regulations. Unfulfilled Promises: The operations manager at the Nelspruit branch promised in writing to cover my flight from Johannesburg to Nelspruit. However, not only was this never done, but I was **** to by him in writing and told it's been done but my calls and messages to follow up have been ignored. Refund Issue: I also have a positive balance of R10,000 in my WeBuyCars profile. Despite submitting all required documents and making multiple attempts to resolve the matter via phone calls and emails, this refund has not been processed for over a month. I am requesting immediate resolution to these issues, including a full refund for my positive balance, reimbur*****t of my flight expenses, and the refund for all the towing and inspection fees that I have paid for the faulty vehicles as I was only offered a 50 percent reimbur*****t for that but the consumer protection act states I am eligible for a full refund. I trust that WeBuyCars will uphold its obligations under the Consumer Protection Act and address these concerns promptly. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to confirm the steps that will be taken to resolve this matter.
Have a positive account balance on the website of R10 000. Despite numerous calls, emails and documents submitted I still have not been refunded for this.
I am based in Johannesburg and purchased a vehicle from WeBuyCars in KZN on 31 December after being assured by the salesman that the car was in good, drivable condition. Less than 24 hours later, while driving back to Johannesburg, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic engine failure and became undrivable. After multiple expensive tows and inspections requested by WeBuyCars, the purchase price and admin fees were refunded to my WeBuyCars profile. However, I am still waiting for my related expenses to be reimbursed. Approximately three weeks later, after viewing several vehicles in poor or misrepresented condition at various WeBuyCars branches in Gauteng, I purchased a 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK 500 from the Nelspruit branch. Once again, I was assured (and shown videos) that the vehicle was in good condition and safe to drive back to Johannesburg. Shortly after purchase, I ran out of fuel close to the branch and had to be assisted by the salesman. After refuelling, I continued my trip — and less than 30km later the serpentine belt snapped, leaving me stranded. This is now two vehicles from WeBuyCars breaking down within 24 hours of purchase. WeBuyCars towed the vehicle back to the Nelspruit branch. Three days later, I have received no update, and WeBuyCars still has both the vehicle and my money. I logged a formal concern and was given a reference number, with a promise of contact within 48 hours. Instead, I was later informed that my concern had been incorrectly marked as a “duplicate”, despite the complaints clearly relating to two different vehicles purchased weeks apart. I have received no call-backs despite repeated follow-ups. I have previously purchased multiple vehicles from WeBuyCars, but my recent experience suggests a serious decline in vehicle quality, inspections, and post-sale customer care. I am now forced to pursue a refund under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will escalate it to MIOSA and the National Consumer Commission. I am simply asking for a fair and lawful resolution

Do not gamble with this organization as it is impossible to withdraw your winnings, i have a registered account, i have sent through pictures of my ID copy and i received a notification saying my account was registered. I deposited money with no issues and i won money on some sports betting but now that i am trying to withdraw my money i keep getting a notification that my account details (i have tried two different accounts of mine) are incorrect and i must contact one of their agents. I have since tried contacting via email and via the chat to staff option they have on their website and i have not received any response at all so my money is stuck in their website. DO NOT GAMBLE WITH YESPLAY IF YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO WITHDRAW YOUR WINNINGS.
