I am in the process of moving abroad and over the next few months will have to transfer a lot of money out of the country. Unfortunatley my own bank was pretty incompetent and expensive (Absa) so I started to look around at alternatives. As you can imagine it is a daunting prospect of entrusting an unknown entity with large sums of cash!

I found Incompass online and sent them a query (I was abroad at the time so didn't expect anything more than a follow up email). Not even 2 minutes after submitting the query did I get a call from Christo who was extremly helpful and professional. From there it just got better and better, they kept me updated every step of the way, for the first time ever I wasn't told that I'm missing this and missing that! They told me exactly what was needed and everything was in first time round.

I transferred the money to them and that's when the nerves flared up... what now.. how long.. my wife starts to worry as it's half our life savings.. oh the panic. And then as seamlessly as the whole process was it ended up with my funds deposited into my wifes account abroad, at a much better rate than the bank would have given me!

So long story short.. if you want to transfer funds into or out of the country you better use Incompass. I will never go elsewhere again.

I cancelled my account with Vodacom in November as I am moving out of the country. I know the cancellation was successful because on the 1st of December I had no airtime and no data. I decided to keep my Vodacom number on a Pay As You Go basis until I permanently move and loaded up on Airtime.

Then I saw another debit order from Vodacom going off on my Absa account... I figured ok, maybe I had some outstanding fees. I didn't receive any airtime from them so it must have been my last charge. Until they deducted money again in January!

I called the Customer Service twice. The first time I was told they are having issues and somebody will call me back, which they never did. The second time I called I was transferred to 4 different departments beforing being transferred back to the cancellation department because "I registered for an upgrade" so I need to cancel it again. So when I finally get through to the cancellation department I'm told I need to call back at another time or day since their system is down.

So please, please tell me how you can register for an upgrade yet not receive anything for it? Am I blatantly being robbed by Vodacom? Because I would assume if somebody takes my money and don't give me anything in return that constitutes as robbery right?

So I just e-mailed their Customer Care deparment with my final cancellation notice and copied my company's Legal Department who said they would take care of it if it's not resolved. I just hate this run-around!

Vodacom - you just lost another customer who probably would have gotten a new contract with you once I came back from Europe.
