Please stay away from this false company. They offer people with bad credit scores really good “rent to own” vehicle deals. Their aim is to get you to pay them a deposit. Nothing else. I played them as far as I could figure out their modus operandi. What made me suspicious? There’s no proof of their existence as a company online, except here on Hellopeter. All reviews being in the last month or two and most of the people who left reviews had new profiles having left only this one review for this company ever. They “approved” me for a vehicle without doing a credit check. Legitimate companies will do a credit check and it will be flagged on your credit profile a day or so after. The deal they offered me was way to good to be true. Better than any bank or even legitimate Rent to Own vehicle companies. I would hardly have paid any interest over 5 years. The two options to make the deposit to them was via Pick N Pay or EFT. Basically payment through MTN Momo directly to a cell number. The other option was to Tyme bank. The contract they sent me was very basic and full of legal holes. Basically not watertight. They couldn’t provide me with a company registration number although they state that they’re a PTY Ltd. The address on their contract in Techno Park in Stellenbosch had no street name or number. When I asked for proof of address, they sent me a statement from a water delivery company with a bunch of paperwork invoice numbers. The listed address as 88 Elektron Rd in Technopark didn’t check out before the road only goes up to 23. When I called the water delivery company they confirmed that the account did not belong to RTO Guys and that the account had been closed and the outstanding debt written off. They went as far as to order & purchase a car from Suzuki. After they were invoiced they “made payment” and POP was sent to Suzuki. I did contact Suzuki to verify this company but it was their first time dealing with them. I told them I was suspicious about the company and the car deal. The RTO guys pushed me harder for the deposit and I stayed that I would only pay the deposit once payment clears with Suzuki. Suzuki in the meantime had sent the car already for License & Registration after receiving Pop. The RTO Guys instructed Suzuki to register the car in my personal name. Huge rad flag. In the meanwhile they also asked a lot of questions for the insurance of the car and also arranged for a tracker to be installed at the dealership. They tracker never pitched for the appointment. They were now getting desperate for some money and were trying for me to pay just R500 as they’ve done all on their side (including paying for the car and registration in my name). They have ads on Gumtree & Facebook for cars and accommodation on the West Coast. The Facebook profile is a guy called George van Wyk (Most likely fake) with 0836186317 and the apparent CEO goes under name Nico(laas) Faul using number 0660485278. They sent me his ID (probably someone stolen ID) as well with the fake proof of address to appear real. I had spoken on the phone with (Nico) who is a white Afrikaans sounding guy who’s a very smooth talker and has answers for every mistake I liked up on. I can sadly how the average person out there desperate for a car will fall for this. If it’s too good to be true. It is.
I wanted to sign a friend up for a Holistic Massage course but wasn’t able to pay immediately. There was a 60% off (R1999) special running at the time for the Holistoc Massage course. I was told that if I pay in a few days that I will still qualify for the special. There was no specials for the next month posted yet so I really wanted the deal. Sadly I wasn’t able to get the money together at the time, but assured Bronique that I will be paying as soon as I was able to and she seemed fine with agreement. Then out of the blue my friend thanked me as he received the course materials via courier. I was puzzled because I had not made payment. Seems like they dispatched the materials without receiving payment which was very kind of them because my friend could start studying so long whist I tried to get the money together to pay for the course. But once the course material was delivered Bronique started calling and sending WhatsApp messages daily requesting the money. She clearly made a mistake by sending course material without receiving payment and had to account for the money and it started turning very unpleasant. I would also like to add they the course material is shoddy and substandard. Badly printed and illustrations all in black in white. Added to the mix is a DVD. I asked all my friends and nobody has DVD players anymore. Then today Bronique demanded proof of payment and threatened me with the small claims court if she didn’t receive proof of payment by tomorrow. She then also had the audacity to send me another invoice for R4999 (original Holistic Massage price) when their current special is R3999 for any two massage courses and keeping in mind that I signed up at R1999 for 1 course. At no point was a new price discussed or even a payment plan as I saw tonight they advertise on their website. If they think I’m going to pay a cent at all after what happened they are mistaken. I wish them good luck with the Small Claims Court. I want no further dealing with your company.

Lately Bronwyn has been borderline harassing me daily via WhatsApp. She seems to think they money grows on trees. She clearly made a mistake by sending course material without receiving payment and now has to account for the money, but she has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. I would also like to add they the course material is shoddy and substandard. Badly printed and illustrations all in black in white. Added to the mix is a DVD which one is supposed to do what with!? I asked all my friend and nobody has DVD players anymore. It’s 2021. What a ****** audacity and a joke! At no point was a new price discussed or even a payment plan as I saw tonight they advertise on their website. If you think you’re getting any money out of me after all this! Also, good luck with the Small Claims Court! You can arrange via email with me to have the sub standard course material collected.
I do not often write reviews, but I have been using The Real Pet Co for over 4 years and have placed over 50 orders so far. There's been one or two hiccups, but there were swiftly resolved. Honestly have nothing negative to say except that you need to email them as they are not to great with phone communication.
