PEOPLE BEWARE! I ordered a chain and sprockets for my motorbike from these people, what a mistake. They sent me a pro-forma invoice which I paid, I phoned them and was informed that only once they have confirmed that the money reflects in their account would they release the goods for collection, after two days I phoned them and asked if they received payment, they did confirm this. I asked about the parts so that I can arrange courier collection, it is now two weeks later and after numerous phone calls to them I get informed that they do not have stock. No matter who you phone they are always in meetings or promise to hone you back, which they do not. It seems that once you make payment every effort to evade you is made by them.

The front tyre on my wifes Hyundai bakkie developed a bubble, on the way to Johannesburg she stopped at two traffic officials who changed the wheel for her.

We took the tyre to the fitment centre - they tested it - the manager/owner wrote on the tyre in white chalk 'seperated' after about an hour he told me that I must pay for a new tyre and that in about two weeks Dunlop will pass me a credit for the tyre.

In other words I as the client carries the guarantee and risks and must always ensure that I have the neccessary funds available just in case my NEW tyres are faulty.

I spoke to Ben de Waal from Dunlop H/O who just takes the standpoint that this is the procedure.

Your fitment centre tested the tyre and informed us that the tyre tread had seperated not me.

I also informed Mr. De Waal that this is the second incident with Dunlop tyres, about two-three years ago my Hyundai bakkie rear wheel burst and destroyed my mudgaurd, that tyre was also a new tyre and that tyre was replaced without incident, Dunlop undertook to repair my mudguard which they never did.

I have since had all the Dunlop tyres on my bakkie removed and have never had any problems since.
