Russ Curtis from Curtis Pools installed a new pool for us just over 2 years ago. Over the years the "stains" on the marbelite have become worse and worse and it is not possible to remove these "stains". On bringing this to his attention, he came to look at the problem only after e-mailing and phoning him three times. His answer to the problem was that he could not assist because the marbelite was only guaranteed for 1 year and the staining was caused by the excess chlorine caused from the pool being covered. Since I was not happy with his unwillingness to assist with solving the problem, I contacted the NSPI, but after long delays they supported Russ Curtis in his views and would not support my cause.

It does make sense to me why the NSPI would always support their paying customer, Curtis Pools, since they benefit from annual membership fees.

On closer inspection of the staining problem and with the assistance of a different pool specialist, we have now realised that the extremely thin marbelite is a major contributor to the grey patches or "stains" thatt I have all accross my pool.

After paying over R 100K to Curtis Pools, I would expect the marbelite in my pool to last longer than 2 years. I will now have to re-do my pool marbelite at my own expense.

I would not recommend Curtis Pools to anyone, due to my experience of poor workmanship and poor customer service. And also would like to inform the public that just because a pool installer is member of the NSPI, doesn't mean that there will be an objective third party supporting you to remedy any problems against Pool Installers. The Pool companies pay the NSPI an annual membership, so why in the world would they not support their paying customers? The NSPI is a big joke and cannot be considered an objective, third-party mediator against rogue pool installers.

Vodacom is not protecting their customers information adequately! I have just been subjcted to a fraudulent swimswap. For 4 days Vodacom has not been able to restore my service and the Vodacom agents have given me such a hard time. I have made numerous phone calls to them and I have been to Vodaworld Vodacom store already three times! I am so super frustrated. I have been defrauded of R 1200 already and now I have not been able to do any banking for the last 5 days, which requires my cell phone. This has cost me dearly since I have not been able to pay suppliers and my business has suffered approx. R 100K as a consequence. Vodacom should be taken to task as Swim Swop fraud is happening daily not just with me but with so man yother fellow South Africans. A massive "unlike" to Vodcaom!!
