Our experience with this company was a nightmare. After paying a deposit in excess of R100,000, they abandoned the site, leaving behind a mess of unfinished work. Their lack of quality and workmanship was appalling and repeated attempts to raise concerns with management were marginalized and ignored. We strongly advise others to think twice before trusting this company with your money.

We used Russ from Curtis Pools for our new pool and also purchased a heat pump from him, which has never worked. Excuses keep being given that it's the electricity. On having an electrician come through and advising us that it could be a faulty heat pump. Russ also never pitched for a meeting about this and to date I'm still battling to get any answers out of him. He doesnt reply or return messages. Theres also marks on the marbelite which Russ attempted to sort out but his answer was that the product he uses is of a natural one and that is what happens. I give up

Our old pool developed a terrible crack and we had to have it redone. We obtained a couple of quotations for a marblite pool and decided to go with Curtis Pools, they were not the cheapest quote that we received but Russ Curtis made the difference for us. He was straight forward and gave us comprehensive details of what they would suggest and was realistic about the timelines. It was most definitely the right choice and we are over the moon with the new pool. Russ and his team are professional and their standard of work is excellent. They deliver what they say they are going to deliver. We would most definitely recommend them.

Russ Curtis from Curtis Pools installed a new pool for us just over 2 years ago. Over the years the "stains" on the marbelite have become worse and worse and it is not possible to remove these "stains". On bringing this to his attention, he came to look at the problem only after e-mailing and phoning him three times. His answer to the problem was that he could not assist because the marbelite was only guaranteed for 1 year and the staining was caused by the excess chlorine caused from the pool being covered. Since I was not happy with his unwillingness to assist with solving the problem, I contacted the NSPI, but after long delays they supported Russ Curtis in his views and would not support my cause.

It does make sense to me why the NSPI would always support their paying customer, Curtis Pools, since they benefit from annual membership fees.

On closer inspection of the staining problem and with the assistance of a different pool specialist, we have now realised that the extremely thin marbelite is a major contributor to the grey patches or "stains" thatt I have all accross my pool.

After paying over R 100K to Curtis Pools, I would expect the marbelite in my pool to last longer than 2 years. I will now have to re-do my pool marbelite at my own expense.

I would not recommend Curtis Pools to anyone, due to my experience of poor workmanship and poor customer service. And also would like to inform the public that just because a pool installer is member of the NSPI, doesn't mean that there will be an objective third party supporting you to remedy any problems against Pool Installers. The Pool companies pay the NSPI an annual membership, so why in the world would they not support their paying customers? The NSPI is a big joke and cannot be considered an objective, third-party mediator against rogue pool installers.

I am the chairman of a body corporate of a complex here in Fourways. Our swimming pool was in a bad state of disrepair and I was tasked with getting it resolved. After having met with numerous pool companies I decided to lets rather go for the leader in new and renovated pools namely Curtis Pools.

The professionalism shown by the owner and his commitment to the last detail was totally evident in the final result. The committed way in the work his employees carried out the work is an extension of the owners inside knowledge of the pool industry.

On a scale of 1 – 10 his end result and satisfaction is 10/10. The aesthetics are superb as is the salt water chlorinator that gives our pool a crystal clear water. I would definitely recommend this company for any pool related work

The thank you messages of our owners and residents is evident of the fact that CURTIS pools rule.

Curtis Pools installed my swimming pool, however they have failed to provide me with an electrical compliance certificate for the electrical work, the white marble-lite is so thin in areas that the grey concrete has come through in many parts of the pool, the filter lid was damaged by Russ Curtis and has not been replaced and the wrong counter swim unit was installed. Russ Curtis hardly ever answers his telephone. He also hardly ever returns messages or replies to e-mails.
