Explicitly stated that I required a GLASS frame to be picked up when I generated my online quote. The driver arrives at the senders address and refuses to pick up the parcel because it was glass. I get informed that the parcel wasn't collected because the company does not courier glass items. After pointing out to them that I had made them aware of the nature of the item from the onset, the company agreed to do me a "favour" and transport the item if i wrapped it in more layers of protective packaging. Note that this also came with a non-collection fee, an additional fee which had to be paid.

The parcel was then pciked up and I had to pay a further fee because the dimensions had now changed with the additional packaging. This too I paid without fuss.

Didn't hear from the courier for about 2 weeks and couldnt track my parcel. Calls upon calls with their staff only to get told that my frame was broken. The staff also automatically assumed that I wouldn't want the frame and didnt even find it necessary to inform me of the fate of my parcel.

Nonetheless, the parcel was delivered...COMPLETELY SHATTERED!

I fully admit that it is a risk that we take when we courier fragile items and I would have dismissed it as an unfortunate loss if I had not been clever enough to request footage showing exactly how my parcel was handled.

Absolutely shocking! A single guy to handle such a large item and even attempting to fold it!

The company dismisses it simply as "you agreed to the terms and conditions" and "we used a 3rd party courier and they don't compensate for broken glass".

All I want to point out is that with COURIER DIRECT, you bear the risk of losing valuable items because they have the liberty to mishandle your parcel..and whatever comes out of it is ultimately not a problem of theirs...AT ALL/Simply because you agree to their terms and conditions, allows them the right to fling aroung your parcel and not care what loss they cause as a result thereof.

I will never deal with them again...and I will be letting all of my business associates know exactly how unprofessional they are.

The cherry on the top is that I got promised a R200, as a favour, even though they don't compensate broken glass..still waiting for that too.

Sitting for almost 4 months without a telkom line.

Call centre agents always promise to send a technician out the next day but nobody ever pitches up.

Absolutely pathetic service - clearly no value for customers.
