I went to the Midrand branch a couple of months ago to test my battery as it kept on failing and it was said that it requires a replacement because the health was bad. I pointed out that the warranty is still valid as it was purchased in Jan 24 and has a three year warranty. They stopped being helpful because they wanted me to purchase a new battery instead of a warranty claim saying that they needed the original invoice for the purchase which is impossible as I purchased the vehicle with the battery already there. I then left and about a month ago, I went to the waterfall ( midrand ) branch with the same exercise and they directed me to the same Midrand branch mentioned above. It is not right that one of first battery center's selling propositions is a warranty that clearly no dealer wants to honor
Noluthando Tladi was the most friendly consultant to deal with. Patient as well
On the 11th of August 2025, I complained on Hello Peter about a phone purchased not 7 days prior that was not working. Cell C then reached out a couple of days later and collected the phone 14 days after. I specifically told them ( cell c hello peter consultant ) multiple times that we don't want the phone fixed but replaced as it is our right under the consumer protection act but we were ignored point blank, I further told the repair centre the same but without scheduling a delivery proceeded to deliver the same phone, no report, no nothing. The returned phone started freezing not a week later. WHAT MUST WE DO TO GET A REPLACEMENT PHONE
Poor after sales customer care. The lady that looks after my son agreed to a cellphone contract over the phone and the phone was delivered on the 4th of July 2025. On Sat the 9th of August 2025 the phone froze and refuses to do anything. This phone has not been damaged in any manner, not even water damage. We called the call centre and they said we have to call on Monday and book it in for repairs which I then opted to go to Mall of Africa and the sales person said if it was within 7 days she could book it in for repairs but now we have to book it in for repairs at MM All Electronics in rosebank on our account. I than asked what would then happen once it is found that the issue is inherent in the phone and not as a result of any damage, she said he doen't know. This phone is hardly a month old How can whole Cell C not have mechanism to ensure compliance with the national consumer act. Between the call center and the branch, no one is standing up to see what the issue is and how it can be fixed The decision to either repair, replace or refund sits with the customer as per the national consumer act, of which none f these options were offered
Bit pricey but service levels are second to none. Every encounter with Mweb was with great people
Easy amendments to my policy all thanks to Zintle
