So this is the second complaint against Telkom I have lodged. Telkom indicates that they charge no upgrade fee when doing an upgrade. But when your statement comes you are charged a migration fee of R400 which is rubbish. But what they do next is even better. They charge and deduct my account twice in the same month. I think I'm going to cancel my telkom contract and I'm going to switch over to vodacom. At least they have no hidden cost and I am going to a lawyer for false advertising which is a criminal offense.

I upgraded my Telkom data at the end of May and the account was debited with more than a thousand rand because they charged a migration fee when I actually upgraded. We have tried speaking to the people in regards with this because we have power of attorney on the accounts. However they refused to speak to us with regards to this account. We reversed payment and went in to pay the portion it should have been. People need to be aware of the hidden costs when upgrading because this is false advertising because Telkom says you pay no upgrading fee and then they expect you to pay a migration fee which is rubbish.

We upgraded a Vodacom contract somewhere in the beginning of the year long. It was for a cellphone and Playstation 4 on contract. We have had trouble with the Playstation for more than a month now and we have gone through to Vodacom in hemming ways mall but they say speak to Sony. Sony then says bring it to us but you have to pay the courier service. The account should be aboutR1070 per month but the account was debited with R1659. 66. The account payment has been reversed and we are not paying for something that does not work. I want to have this sorted out asap but as Vodacom seemed to enjoy irritating its clients they probably won't sort this out.
