Zahir Zaheer Abdul made the experience of retentions to be a smooth process. And explained why my premious had gone up
I did a transaction on the 5th October which I believed did not go through on my debit card as I received an error message saying " payment could not be processed due to a technical error". Tried the payment on my credit card it went through. Only for an sms notifyinf me that my account ( debit card) was debited. Notified the bank on the same day, was told to call the merchant and notify them and also advised to wait 2 days. I did that, on the 8th called again, referred to Recalls, filled the form and sent it back. Only to receive notification that they can do it I must call disputes. Called disputes, been on the phone for an hour and I'm told to call the merchant to refund me. Standard Bank who gave me an error message when I made the transaction cannot do anything. The back and forth is draining, had I nor received an error message a duplicate was not going to be made at all.
I made a transaction today on my debit card which "could not be processed due to a technical error" ( message displayed when I could not complete the transaction). I attempted th transaction again on my credit card and it went through. Also an sms from the debit indicating that transaction has gone through as well. Basically I paid for the same thing twice. Called Customer Care only to be advised that I must wait for 2 business days for them to dispute the amount alternalitevely contact the merchant to advise them. How is it the merchants fault / my fault for this because the 2nd payment would not have been done has I not received an error message?
Placed my 2nd order in April for Winter Clothing after my Christmas order was received in February 21. Delivery was supposed to be made after 30 days. On May 24, I made a follow up. Sandi replied that most of my order was still on route. Expected to arrive the following week. On the 4th of June, I made a follow up, no email was replied to even on WhatsApp no response. July 4th made a follow up again, no reply. Giving up now
