My claim for theft and malicious damage to my vehicle under my comprehensive cover was put through in October 2025. I have given them all relevant information, opened a saps case, give budget the evidence via pictures, taken the car to a Volkswagen dealership and they showed the vehicle has 1048 574km but my car has outdone 215 000km at that time. Swapped parts in and out of my car and I am the 1st owner. Budget is still not paying out my claim, holding up my policy call recordings, they still taking out my premium every month but refusing my claim payout, the policy documents states the car was insured in its standard form and the call records. They have people who assist them at the NFO also so be warned. The NFO is holding up my investigation intentionally because of budget. So I would not advise anyone to take this insurance with this company. I am left with a car which has all ****** parts, budget has car hire under my policyband are still not making it available. There is no policy wording that was sent to me. The online portal send you my email then back to the site so no wording s available at all besides my policy summary which states the insured vehicle in its original form. They perfect in selling the policy and making you feel as if you have the best cover until you have a claim.
I have comprehensive car insurance with budget for more than a year. When I took the policy it sounded like the best insurance company. In October I made a claim my car was taken to a repair shop in Randburg. They swapped my entire OEM engine and components. Before taking the car to Geartronixs for repairs I called budget and advised that the vehicle is going in for repairs and confirmed on call that the car will be insured while at the repair shop. Once a peril occurred they rejected my claim then their dispute resolution asked for prove to enforce action on my claim. I took the car to Volkswagen and showed them with pictures that my cars identity has been altered therefore making the car an ******* vehicle. They still did not take action after I provided legit proof. Then they have friends at the NFO who are choosing what evidence to use in their report. I clearly advised them that on my phone call the agent accepted my policy will cover my vehicle parts or for any losses that should occur while the vehicle was at Geartronixs. Now they holding my call records up after I asked them so many times to review it before rejecting my claim. To date nothing has been done I am paying insurance for all these months including this month and January. I have car hire. My family and I can not travel this holiday due to this and Budget just refuses to address my claim appropriately. As per law my call recordings is what is accepted at the time of taking out this policy. Now they holding my information prolonging my claim, leaving my family and I in a difficult situation during the holidays because they do not want to do what they accepted under my policy. They never even gave me a claim number yet and it's been almost 3 months. I will probably have to take this up to court. Imagine having insurance and you have to go through all of this. My previous insurance company Discovery was more expensive but I never had an issue when it came to a claim. Biggest mistake leaving my other insurance company.
I bought a brand new car a Golf 7.5 1.4 TSI. The car had a manufacture warranty of 3 years. The first year the DSG gave me problems. The car was taken in and the clutches changed. The car came back with the same issue eventually the car totally malfunctioned in 2024. The car sat at home from December 2024 until August 2025. The case was with the NCC. They gave me a non referral after hacking my submission forms. Then I could not submit to the NCT cause the car was only ever maintained at Volkswagen from new They refused to sort out the warranty issue. Then I took the car to Geartronixs at my own cost. They swapped my entire OEM engine but I only authorized a value body repair. So now I said to Volkswagen please given me my part numbers as per the POPIA. I filled out the forms and submitted it so that budget my car insurance can process my theft claim as the entire car is now altered. They refused to give me information for my vehicle that I paid them for. So they said to miosa that I must-have the car to a dealership to confirm it. I took the car and paid for a check at CFAO motors Volkswagen they still refused to give me my information after I paid them for it. They saying it is impossible to know which parts belong to my car. Every car from factory in south africa is data dot stamped so they **** to me in writing that it is impossible I even have a form from JMPD stating my car is data dotted. They doing big time ***** on warranty and the legislation system is captured that is why they are doing this. NCC is playing their part I have informed the Malanga commission and NCT. They have removed so much of my emails through hacking so I do not have evidence to submit to court. They are even getting to my attorneys and asking them to misinformed me it happened twice last year as I wanted to submit to court. MG attorneys in Sandton and RPN attorneys in Edenvale. These two law firms were my mandated attorneys but because they were hacking my emails they twisted these attorneys to misinform me. I have everything in writing and now the NCT has instructed the NCC to investigate Volkswagen South Africa. Awaiting the outcome.
My car was taken to a repair center in Randburg called Geartronixs. I authorized a value body repair to my gearbox of an existing OEM part. The car was only ever maintained at Volkswagen from new. The car came back with all aftermarket components from what I see in the engine that does not match my Vin number. I am confident that the entire engine was taken out and swapped with an aftermarket engine. So I called budget call center yesterday and make a claim regarding this matter which they acknowledged was theft and assigned me to a claims officer named Precious. She calls me and says budget does not cover this under my comprehensive cover but this is theft as this was authorized on my car. According to law if this engine does not match my Vin number then this car is basically ****** and budget as my insurer was supposed to pick this car and take it for forensic investigation. These parts on the car which do not match are now ******* in my car and if this engine was swapped and ****** then According to the Natis road traffic system my car is basically ******. I have cases at RMI and Miosa now as this car is evidence in a theft case and budget is lying to me. They need to come pick this car up as it is putting me and my family at risk by using an ******** vehicle on the road. The car is basically ******. The cars identity has been altered. Is budget working with ********s to lie to their customers?
I am currently having a bad experience with this company. My car has only ever been maintained at Volkswagen. So in the meantime I have a case against Volkswagen for a faulty DSG gearbox. The value body unit was supposed to be repaired at Geartronixs. The car only has OEM parts. I picked my car on the 1st of September 2025 after paying for a value body unit repair to my existing OEM part. The car comes back with another value body unit. My alternator parts are not the same. The value body unit taken off my car was not returned so basically the are *****ing OEM parts while the car was in the workshop. So now I have to open a case of theft cause I believe they have swapped my OEM engine with an aftermarket one. So they probably *****ing parts and using it on other customers so if you repair your vehicle at this place you should probably check your car for the original parts if it was removed. Pathetic, how can you ***** people's property. Do not worry they will not get away with it. The blue lights will be there soon.
I currently have a monthly rental agreement with Sani. I was hiring a car from December 2024 on a 30 day rental term. From March 2025 they gave me a 90 day rental agreement. So at the end of June I was supposed to bring the car in and do an inspection and pay whatever was over the kilometers. Every month you get 3000km with the monthly rental. So on a 90 day term they gave me 9000km. At the end of June I gave the vehicle back to OR Tambo Airport and the car had a minor dent which they charged me R3000 for approximately. So I used to make payments for the 90 day rental via an sms link which was sent to my cellphone after every 30 days. Which I was happy with and made that payment accordingly. At the end of June I asked them on email to please renew another 90 day rental and I will make payment every 30 days via the link. At the end of July they call me and asked me how much kilometers are on the vehicle, so I said that I have a 9000km range and inspection will only be done after 90 days and extra kilometers will be applicable after 90 days as I have a 9000km range as per the previous agreement. So this lady Keshreen says no I must pay extra kilometers now so I challenged that and informed her that according to Donna and Randburg I have a 90 day agreement as per my email request. She says no that I must pay R3748 immediately. I declined it stating that was not how the process worked previously. So I contacted customer care and gave them my complaint as to what this lady at OR Tambo is insisting on. So they advised that I can make any extra kilometers payment when I return the vehicle which I was happy with. Last Monday on the 4th Keshreen emails me demanding kilometer payment or they will send the collectors to get the vehicle. So I said that is not what was discussed and agreed upon with customer care. Then tracking was calling me continuously so I mentioned my term was a 90 day and that any charges are applicable upon return of the contract term as per previous months. So they also agreed likewise and apologized but stated that this lady Keshreen is being problematic. So I said I have already paid my monthly rental on the payment link and I can not return the vehicle because the monies are paid and you have my holding deposit of R3800 which will cover the kilometers if it was due now which it was not supposed to. Then on the 6th of August 2025 I had an accident at the Malboro Off ramp coming to Kempton park, someone hit me from behind. So my wife was injured and I had minor injuries, whip lash so forth. So the road side assistance picked up the damaged vehicle. So I contacted Sani and said the vehicle is gone and now I do not have a vehicle and my monthly fee is paid and I need another vehicle as a replacement please advise the process. No one has responded to date and my monies are paid in full for the month of August 2025. Now I have to open a case within 24 hours at Sandringham Police station as it was within the 10 km radius from the accident. So I advised Sani I have been hiring a vehicle from your company on a monthly bases from December 2024 due to my vehicle having mechanical warranty issues and I am busy with a case against VW for a defective vehicle so the only form of transport I have is the rental vehicle. I said I notified the Police via email at Sandringham SAPS stating I am awaiting a replacement from Sani regarding my rental. I have no means of transport at the moment as Sani was my only form of transport that is why I have a monthly rental. So now they given me accident forms to fill out requiring a case number. So I said to Sani due to me being injured and my wife I do not have the means to go SAPS and if Sani can arrange in the meantime someone to drive me there so I can report the matter. They have not responded yet. The car is still under 6000km for the 2nd month. Honestly Donna and the team at Randburg are very good at dealing with my account from December and I was happy. Now this new lady is a headache. They have not given me any solutions to date and I have paid a monthly premium and a holding deposit. So it is evident from previous complaints here that this company has poor service. They have people who miscommunicate and do not understand their own processes. I have everything in writing on my mail to prove my complaint. I feel so disgusted at how I was dealt with as a customer that has spent close to R100 000 over these months and still receive pathetic service. Cheaper is not always the best option. Cheaper rentals expect *********** service. Avis and relating car rentals are more expensive but their service is of an exceptional standard from previous car hires I took on holiday. I will not advise anyone to use this company. I apologize to those who treated my account with respect and dignity but OR Tambo branch is like a car hire company from someone's backyard. It is like hiring cars from someone as a street vendor. So now I have to take the matter up legally waste my time and resources to process a case through the regulatory bodies. I hope Sani car rentals at least send their staff at OR Tambo for training. There are good people at OR Tambo however the management seems to be like those 'I know a friend", type of employment processes very uninformative. How can you not be aligned with company processes and I have been a long term client.
I have started a new policy for car with Budget today. The policy was affordable and the agent was very helpful. I changed from nedbank as the service was poor. I hope and am confident that budget has a much better customer service that the previous insurance company.
In 2018 I purchased a brand new vehicle from Princes Benoni Volkswagen. During the 1st year of purchase the vehicle was giving me gearbox issues. The vehicle was bought with a warranty and maintenance plan. During this time I continued reporting the matter to dealership and they kept saying they reset the vehicle gearbox. This vehicle has a DSG gearbox. So the dealer principal refused to get the matter corrected. Then I took my matter directly to Volkswagen SA. They then took the vehicle back to the dealership and changed the clutches. However I directly notified Volkswagen SA that the matter was still not sorted. They refused to respond. I then also told the dealership that the matter is still the same. Then I proceeded to the Motor industry ombudsman. They did not use all the information that was given to them in my report and sided with the dealership not taking all my information into consideration in the report and this was all done while the vehicle is still on warranty. I continued contacting Volkswagen SA until today and notified them that I am aware of how they are *****ulently diagnosing my vehicle to not correct the matter as should be. This vehicle has a factory fault and I have been continually informing them and they are refusing to take accountability. This was a brand new vehicle. So Volkswagen SA is actually doing ***** on diagnosing clients vehicles thereafter using that to not rectify matters that are paid for under a maintenance and warranty plan. This vehicle has a factory fault and they are refusing to sort it out and at the same time are doing ***** with the ombudsman to not rectify matters. So Volkswagen SA is actually a ******* company in South Africa cause in actual fact they are using the motor industry ombudsman to do ******* activities to not sort out clients complaints on faulty products. I have the information and this cand be supp**** to any interested persons to view. I was dealing with Uden at Volkswagen SA first and she ignored all communication after the that while the vehicle was still under warranty. In the last few weeks I was in communication with Mariam at Volkswagen SA so now they making excused that the vehicle does not have a full service history however my vehicle has a full service history and maintenance history only at Volkswagen dealerships. So they are not adding my services and maintenance to my vehicles history on it's computer box to say well that my car was not maintained my them which is incorrect as I have all paid invoices to prove that.
This organization is fraudulent and corrupt. We need to write a petition to the human rights and Presidential office stating that we as the public want this institution s****ped and want a new organization that would be fair towards the public in terms of their rights. They have intentionally violated my rights as a citizen of South Africa in not conducting a fair report of my case at hand. The bank has directly broken the law and violated my rights and the case processor and adjudicator have not been honest and law abiding in giving me a fair report based on the information at hand. I would appreciate all concern persons with regards to not having a fair case to write to the human rights commission and Presidents Office in terms of how cases were conducted by this organization. We all have the right to a fair case which is our constitutional right. The banks have no regard for the law and Court rulings. They have links to the banks and are being influenced by the bank therefore the financial sector is not law abiding and are going against High Court rulings. We have had recently seen that the High Court does not except people that are going against its rulings so how does the banks get to do that. It’s serves to says we are then living in a lawless society.
