Missing OEM parts.
I am currently having a bad experience with this company. My car has only ever been maintained at Volkswagen. So in the meantime I have a case against Volkswagen for a faulty DSG gearbox. The value body unit was supposed to be repaired at Geartronixs. The car only has OEM parts. I picked my car on the 1st of September 2025 after paying for a value body unit repair to my existing OEM part. The car comes back with another value body unit. My alternator parts are not the same. The value body unit taken off my car was not returned so basically the are *****ing OEM parts while the car was in the workshop. So now I have to open a case of theft cause I believe they have swapped my OEM engine with an aftermarket one. So they probably *****ing parts and using it on other customers so if you repair your vehicle at this place you should probably check your car for the original parts if it was removed. Pathetic, how can you ***** people's property. Do not worry they will not get away with it. The blue lights will be there soon.

Very disappointed
I was referred by VW, I took my car with the hope that it will be fixed. The car was okay for 3 months and I kept going back to Geartronix since it was still under warranty. Having to drive from Mpumalanga to Gauteng, what a waste of money and time. To be honest I don’t think they fixed anything, they just took my money and never done anything. I will not recommend them, I’m very disappointed. They don’t even deserve a star.

Very disappointed
I was referred by VW, I took my car with the hope that it will be fixed. The car was okay for 3 months and I kept going back to Geartronix since it was still under warranty. Having to drive from Mpumalanga to Gauteng, what a waste of money and time. To be honest I don’t think they fixed anything, they just took my money and never done anything. I will not recommend them, I’m very disappointed. They don’t even deserve a star.

Only Stop Required For Any DSG Requirements
If you own a vehicle with a DSG, then Geartronix should be your first and only stop. Jansen and his team are efficient, knowledgeable and professional. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Geartronix.

Not looking after the customer
Gearronixs was recommended to me and initially very happy regarding a gearbox problem which was under warranty. Only when analysing the invoice did I realise a reconditioned part was used which was not brought to my attention..When I brought this to their attention, a lot of good intention was shown but truthfully nothing was done. Very disappointing and would not recommend them as a result

3rd breakdown
Had my car repaired there, initially I thought the service was excellent as my car drove out like new. Today I broke down for the 3rd time with the same problem Geartronix repaired within a year. Never have i experienced brand new parts failing so much.

Golf 7 Tsi DSG
Brought in my Golf 7 for replacement of the gearbox system. The service was excellent and very fast. Even though the gearbox gave me the same issues afterwards, the team promptly attended to it and I have not had any problems ever since. The car drives like a dream, all errors were cleared on the vehicle. I strongly recommend GearTronix, their workmanship and service is worth every cent.

Outstanding Customer Focus and Care
I took my car to Geartronix DSG Centre due to its convenient location to where I stay. As I had a problem with a DSG Clutch on an Audi beginning to fail. When it started I took it to be assessed and they told me that the clutch will give about another 10 thousand Km's and only look at having it replaced then. I exceeded this estimation but had to do it eventually. I booked the car in while I was still able to drive it there under own power. I told the guys at Geartronix what I was experiencing. The car was assessed and what I highlighted was what they found to be wrong. Authorization was given to proceed and the operation was finished in days. Detailed feedback was given on work done and the car is running like a dream. No Hassles or Fuss and no *******'s. And the sign of a great workshop is the fact that there are many vehicles being repaired and the workshop is extremely clean for a mechanical workshop. Something to be proud of and they are. Thanks Shaun and Beryl and the team at Geartronix keep up the good work!

I had my gearbox replaced last year September at Geartronix, this year July I started hearing an unusual noise, bear in mind my car just went out its warranty on the replacement done through geartronix. Called Shawn and it couldn't have been easier, They went the extra mile to assist me, They met me way more than halfway and assisted with getting my gearbox sorted out, absolutely fantastic customer service ! I would highly recommend them to anyone !
