I had an issue with people who were constantly debiting my account without permission which made me end up moving my transaction to another account. I then called Standard bank call centre to close this account and they asked me to go to the bank which I did and later I kept on getting SMS's that a debit order has gone off yet there was no funds which I again disputed with the branch and nothing was done. Today I have a debt with Standard Bank for R9861.91 which is now handed over to Attorneys. I would like to know what is that for and if it is arrears that my account had no fund how does the arrears get to R9861.91 yet I had no overdraft facility in this account. I am now handed over for R9861.91 I need a detailed statement from standard bank which shows me how did this R9861.91 accumulate to this figure. I will be raising this issue cause I had never taken a loan nor did I have an overdraft what is this R9861.91 for.
On the 2nd March 2017, i saw an apartment on Property 24 which i was interested in occupying. I then made arrangements with the Agent Bayley to view which i did the next day and confirmed my interest. I made a payment of R16 620 on the 4th March 2017 but only moved in on the 17 March 2017 due to still buying staff which i would have needed for the unit. Upon entering due to work commitments my sister did a physical inspection and Bayley requested we note it on their Joint Pre-Lease Inspection. The R16 620 consisted on the below according to the lease. Rent: R5700 Damage Deposit: R8550 Metro Deposit: R1570 (electricity is prepaid which is controlled by them) Lease Fee: R800 which later became R880 which was not stated on my lease and the value i paid initially While residing there the rent varied from R6000- R8550 as much as i could not afford it, i made sure they paid as they would take my prepaid 80-90% and give me 5-10% of what was purchased. I had communicated endlessly about damaged things in the unit which was never fixed. The answer i got was they will let the owner know until my year lease was over. The worse problem with Apartment Box started now when my lease expires. They requested i exit the apartment on the 28 February 2018 by 12pm and i need to be present for an inspection if not my rights will be forfeited and if my items are in the unit by 12pm they will charge me R950. I did exactly what they requested. I was out by the next day as requested. The issue starts now that i need to get my damage deposit and utilities deposit which is currently a balance of R10 746.30 due to interest accumulated. I received a breakdown of items to be repaired and replace which first amounted to R 5675. I disputed highlighting items on their pre-inspection list and that brought it down to R4845. According to them: Post Lease Clean: R1200 which was never done when i entered the unit. Replace Toilet Seat Ensuite: R450 (which is exactly as it was when i entered the place). Refit cupboard hinges Bedroom 2: R 145 x2 which i had fixed no cupboards are broken or can't close as per what i have stated on the list. Replace Cupboard Hinge Bedroom 2: R180 - i even left pictures to show a loose hinge which i replaced. This was also stated. Replace Toilet Seat (second toilet): R450 (they are stating it is broken) Prep and Paint Wall Lounge/Kitchen: R1900 (they are saying i had hanged pictures on the walls they are holes in the walls) I own no pictures during my stay i had no pictures hanged. I have pictures while occupying the unit and pictures with family and friends nothing. Jaques who deals with the deposit process insist if there is no proof on writing i am liable for the holes i don't even know. Admin Fee: R195 Replace cupboard hinge Kitchen: R180 on their list i have stated the kitchen cupboard which does not close. Overall the above amount to R4845. I have requested for the Exit Inspection Report for the previous tenant which i haven't received. This Agent takes advantage of their tenants and ends up taking their money. At first when i entered i heard about other tenant who eventually did not get their money because of things which are falsely charged. This is day light robbery and i need this money as a single parent. To date 08 March 2018. i haven't received anything and i am having endless emails with their deposit department. They even incorrectly invoices me for R9051. 82 on their statement stating i have fees outstanding in my rent late penalty fees, R400. All i want is my money and for them to provide the correct report and truth in their inspections. I can't just throw away R4845. I can't afford to.
