I placed an order with Leroy Merlin for ceiling panels (along with other items) for pickup at the Fourways branch on Tuesday, 11 November 2025. When placing the order, the website showed that all items were in stock at Fourways, and even recommended this branch. To be safe, I phoned the call-centre to confirm stock availability before driving across. The operator confirmed everything was available. When I arrived at Fourways, I was told that although the system shows 31 panels in stock, all of them are damaged. It’s now been four days, and I still don’t have my panels. I’ve phoned in twice — yesterday and again this morning — but the agents are either “busy” or promise a callback that never happens. This isn’t the level of service I expect from what has always been my favourite DIY store. At the very least, I would appreciate accurate communication and a realistic ETA for when the panels will actually be available. Regards, Riaan
Hi, HelloPeter, Home-Connect have been the best ISP company that I've ever dealt with, "until I tried to get hold of them!" I want to urge companies to always keep customer service their top priority! I applied for an upgrade from 100mbps to 200mbps, then suddenly I received a router and an email that a fibre line will be installed at my premises after I've been with Home-Connect for about a year. They don't respond on service tickets raised, not on mails sent nor call back on messages left. I even contacted them on the live messaging on the web site and the person just stopped communicating without ANY worry about the issue that I have. I never complain about anything, but Home-Connect, I'm really disappointed. Regards Riaan.
