I have had vehicle finance with Wesbank for almost 4 years. For this time, my company statements have had the incorrect company name. I called them to fix it, they said I should email them. I did. I asked a simple question, which no one could answe: If for 4 years, I have been paying faithfully for the vehicle in my possession, but the payments/statements have a different company name on them, this surely will affect my credit score. Because, what is being submitted to the credit bureaus. No consultant is able to answer. I've been sent from pillar to post regarding this issue. As a result, I am not even sure if what the credit bureaus are reflecting my true status.
It's over 2 months that I have been trying to get this matter resolved. I had a hired car with Ark Car Rentals, as mine was getting repaired. At a mall, a lade slammed her door into mine and I noticed the dent as I walked out of the mall. I then requested for the video footage. The SAPA got the details and these were submitted with the case to Ark. 1) I had to be charged a single access fee of R4500 2) They had a R2000 holding fee 3) Apparently there was a R300 refueling fee subtracted from my R2000 deposit 4) There is an admin fee of R900+ 5) They received a quote from a panel beater and invoiced the whole amount to me. Now, whether they actually do any work behind the scenes trying to recoup money from the lady who slammed their car or not, no body knows. It's taken them 2 months+ to send me the correct invoice. Now I am getting letters of demand. Please stay away from these guys.
Someone please explain to me if I am overreacting or not... This morning (02/01/2023) just after 09h00,I deposited R8k+ st an ATM in Woodmead Retail Park. The ATM screen read "Transaction Cancelled", and spat out my business card. Went immediately into the branch so that they could assist me. We sat on the line until 11h00 only to be told the matter takes 7-14 days to be investigated and resolved. The thing that comes to mind is, what happens to my bills for the 7-14 days that Capitec thinks is a good enough timeline to resolve a matter such as mine? Is there no batch close on each end of business to see how much was in excess to what Capitec has records for? For a matter that I have nothing to do with, this whole thing is nonsensical! That's Capitec's ATM not mine. You just need to release my money and fix the error on your end. And dare I see one response saying "we have escalated your query and have given feedback..." The matter here is 7-14 days, which is totally unacceptable.
