Swimming Pool Pros attended to my property after I contacted them on the internet for an online quote to repair my Swimming pool pump leak. They appointed and sent out a Technician that didn't repair my leak. He then collected the payment from my wife and indicated that he will return to complete the task. He stated he was unable to test for any leaks due to loadshedding and will return the following day to complete the work up and till now he hasn't returned. When he is contacted via telephone he makes promises to return but doesn't come back at all. He also requested to vacuum the pool because he saw it was dirty and needed cleaning. The vacuuming he did was not completed properly as well. My place was also left in a mess after he did work at the pool pump location. Samsung SA appointed a contractor (Samsung Technician)that came out to assess my fridge and according to the contractor he stated that the Compressor was damaged. He then Replaced R600A Compressor with R134A Compressor which is wrong because of different refrigerant in the system. I fridge packed up soon after the Samsung Technician replaced the incorrect Compressor. The disappointing part is i had to pay a call out fee, pay for a new Samsung Compressor, and pay for the Compressor to be re-gassed. I applied for an additional bond with Standard Bank and it was declined. The disappointing part of it all was they requested for all supporting documents of which I submitted. I further asked the consultant am i not waisting my time with applying for my second bond based on the documents credit department requested. The consultant responded by saying" No You Definatley Not" My credit score is good. All they need is to clear up a few things. I must say though this person was really helpfull but the issue seems to have been the credit department. The department requested letters from myself to support my application of which I took my time to complete and submit but still got know approval. They requested documents upon documents of which again i submitted. I was requested to supply supporting documents from private company clarifying that i recieve funds every month to support my bond application of which i did then get told its not good enough. Sad part of it all I've been banking with Standard Bank over 10 years. I have an existing bond with Standard Bank. The account i hold with Standard Bank is Private Banker and the bank clearly states the benefits you have is assistance you will get when applying for a future bond. They go on and further state that when having an existing bond with them it makes your life easier when applying for the second bond. I call the office to eventually follow up on the application and was told it wad declined. They didn't bother to call me and explain that they with process my application without using additional funds i recieve that they were continuously calling me to clarify and leading me to believe everything is going well. I really wonder if this is the bank one should be banking with. The question now - Is should i still be banking with Standard bank. Its clear in the way I've been assisted that i cannot move forward with Standard Bank. I recently get an increase on my credit card with Standard Bank but have a second bond request declined.. How do you understand and explain this.. I wonder if i will ever get a good explanation from the bank.
