It was my son who pointed out the irony of the company name when I went through back and forth correspondence with an uncommunicative and uncooperative team who installed a tent that was cut to the wrong size. It has been a 3-month long disaster that began with shocking sales team, a quote team that measured incorrectly, an installation team that tried to cover up the mistakes and caused serious damage in the process followed by the same sales team who tried to blame me for their mistakes before back peddling yet at no point admitting to their most obvious error. The delays in communication resulting in my having to repair their mistakes at my own expense as there was water pooling where the tent was cut with too much slack and holes in the corners where they couldn't attach the slack tent to anything. Over three months, I had one message from the company owner ... still not admitting to their error ... with his solution to remove the tent. Not replace it with one that fits correctly but de-rig and take it away, knowing full well that it would leave half my house open to the elements as well as to crime, and render my son's room unusable. They held me to ransom based on their knowing I would not be able to get anyone to install an alternative roof in the middle of Cape Town rainy season so I am left with an expensive tent that doesn't do what it's meant to do and bills rolling in from my builders who are trying to get it right in order to last until the end of winter when I will have to get a real tent installation company to redo the job. Bottom line is horrible service, inept staff, owners that don't take accountability for errors, poor quality product. I encourage anyone thinking of going this route to find an alternative company to do the job because Dimensions Tents is an all round bad fit.
They don't even deserve one star. Over three months, I have encountered an inefficient sales team, a quote team that took wrong measurements, an installation team that tried to cover up the mistakes, owners who sent one ineffectual message response taking zero responsibility for their mistake. It is ironic that a company called Dimensions Tents don't know how to cut a stretch tent to the right size. Worse is that they tried to blame me for their obvious mistakes, they created delays in communication so that I had no choice but to pay builders to try and remedy their errors since there is not much I could do with the rain coming in and no remedy coming from the inept business. When I asked for a refund, their response was again severely delayed and they held me to ransom with a solution to simply take the tent away - no admission of error, no apology for their mistake - a so-called solution that would leave my home open to rain and crime and my son's room rendered unusable. I am still bewildered that instead of offering to replace the tent with one cut to the right size, they all tried to cover it up making me responsible to fix their mistakes. Weeks later, I have bills piling up from my builders and have had to discard all the carpets that have been ruined by the pooling water overflowing through holes they failed to secure. I urge anyone considering using Dimensions Tents to go somewhere else for their stretch tents because these guy are just the wrong fit on every level.
This is a great online shop to supplement their physical stores. The owners always go the extra mile to ensure the goods are delivered on time and to a convenient location if I am not at home to take delivery. If I miss the order deadline, they always help out but getting an order to me and they are always helpful, cheerful and on top of things. I love my shopping experience with Think Organic!
I ordered a waterproof dog bed on Gumtree approximately a year ago. The original delivery was efficient and I paid in cash for the product which was a large-size dog bed for outdoor use. Unfortunately the bed was only soft for a few months, after which it became more and more difficult to turn or move. I only realized how bad it was when I moved a couple of months ago and it was like lifting a deadweight ... Obviously the fabric is not waterproof as guaranteed and whatever they used as fill has become like concrete with the water that has gotten in. I sent a message last week on WhatsApp - our original mode of communication - but I have received no acknowledgment or reply even though the message has been read.
