Dharmalingham Delays Deposit& Card Fee Refund (Interpark.) I have been waiting since September 2020 for the return of my deposit plus the card fee due to me upon cancellimg my long-term parking contract with Interpark at Cpt Intl Apt. Jnb Interpark's Vincent Dharmalingham continues to first ignore, then give excuse, after excuse for delaying the repayment. You would've thought by now that he had run out of delaying tactics! NOT SO! Now he is waiting for a boss to SIGN IT OFF! This has continued since early September. I am very dismayed Vincent Dharmalingham!
On Fri 3 Jul AFTER business hours, I get an email from Discovery telling me that they have cancelled my contract retro-actively from 31 MAY due to non-payment! I am a SAA flt att. SAA stopped paying their portion of my medical aid some time back, so I had gone through all the necessary hoops, sent ALL required documentation, AND received confirmation that everything was 100% in order for the transfer of my medical aid contract from corporate to individual. Clearly Discovery's admin is in total disarray. Is this not why RSA was, and is, in lockdown? So the medical section of our country could prepare for Covid? Hats off to the rest of the medical community, but not to Discovery. In the event of me being rushed to hospital I would then not be covered because of THEIR error. Also, how safe are all my personal financial and identity docs being kept as I sent them through to someone at Discovery who was probably working from their home? The spectre of identity theft is also hauntingly worrying. So, in the midst of a pandemic, I temporarily sit without medical health cover because of Discovery administrative shambles. I get an email response this morning telling me that they will contact me in due course. Today is Wed 8 July. They blemish my perfect credit history rating through their error. Other people told me that exactly the same thing happened to them and that it took 3 months for Discovery to rectify it.(Not all are at SAA, and one it happened to before Covid.) I am glad I have no other Discovery products. Unacceptable!
I understand that after the 24 month contract expires one still has to physically phone in to cancel a cellphone contract. Firstly 24 month contracts for cells are archaic in the fiscal world that is SA, today. (Note the cell was already mine before the contract started!) Secondly, why do I formally still have to cancel? It should be automatic with the client having to phone in to request to continue, not the other way around. Thirdly, why can't we email Vodacom a request to cancel a contract? Anyway, I tried repeatedly to phone Vodacom today. They CUT my call twice after I had been holding on 6 minutes both time, and the 3rd time I put the phone down after 20.min because clearly they weren't going to answer. The other section couldn't help and, said I had to speak to the cancellation section. I want to go on to pre paid from 01 March 2020 and they do give an option to call back, but I bet they would deliberately call back when I have put the cell into flight mode due to being unable to talk then. Very disappointed in Vodacom .(Do I try MTN now, or are they just as bad?)
Builder's Warehouse was supposed to deliver 2 rainwater tanks (all pre~paid) yesterday.I phoned after 4 pm only to find out that they couldn't deliver because allegedly their driver hadn't turned up.So they obviously knew that in the morning & simply didn't bother to let me know. Now, as of nearly 1 o clock today they phoned to finally let me know they are on their way, BUT.. via Pinelands.Yet I am far closer than Pinelands,Not impressed at all. This is disrepectful.
