We are compelled to place the following on record regarding the Jonway quad bike purchased from Bike Mania on 19 June 2025: Initial Purchase & Immediate Failure : We collected the brand-new quad bike with a purchase price of R37k from Bike Mania on 19 June 2025 and transported it to our farm in Thabazimbi. On 20 June 2025 and after only 19km on the clock, the bike cut out and refused to start. On 23 June 2025 we returned the bike to Bike Mania, who stripped the engine. Paul confirmed it appeared to be a latent factory defect. First Repair by Jonway : The bike was sent to Jonway for repairs. On 7 August 2025, after nearly six weeks, the bike was returned, repaired at no cost, with a one-year guarantee on the work. Second Breakdown On 23 August 2025, we tested the bike again on our farm for the first time after receiving it on 7 August 2025. After 213km, the same failure occurred. Once again, we were forced to return the bike to Bike Mania, who sent it back to Jonway. Unacceptable Delays & Lack of Communication : On 29 August 2025 I phoned Bike Mania for an update and was told I would be contacted soon. No feedback was received. On 10 September 2025, after yet another follow-up call from my side, I was contacted by Carika from Jonway, who advised that the engine tappets were faulty and were being repaired/replaced. Summary of Position : It has now been 12 weeks since purchase, and we remain without a functioning quad bike. The bike has a mere 213km on the clock and has already failed twice. We have been forced to transport the bike back and forth between Thabazimbi and Pretoria at great inconvenience and cost (over 1,200km in travel). Feedback has been sporadic and inadequate, and we are left with no cer*****y as to when we will receive a reliable, functional product. Stay away from Bike Mania and Jonway!!!

We required JRA's and IBRA's to be used on the mine, and to have access granted on the mine. We appointed David Roux on 9 November 2022 from HAMBANATHI CONSULTANTS, experts according to him, and paid him in advance and amount of R8 500,00. That was when our nightmare started. David Roux then sent us documents which was so poorly done that the mine immediately rejected it. After that David Roux literally vanished of the earth and refused to take our calls, answer emails or WhatsApps - although we could see that he has read it. Eventually, after 3 people from our company literally tried to make contact with him, on some days more than 20 calls, WhatsApps, emails, etc, I got hold of him on 23 November 2022. He promised to have the documents rectified and submitted to us by COB the same day, which, in his true nature and needless to say, obviously never realised. This morning he sent us mail stating that he is too busy to work on our documents. Dianne Liebenberg from our accounts, requested David Roux to refund our company seeing that we had not received what we paid for, but he arrogantly sent her to hell. Please be aware of David Roux and his company Hambanathi Consultants as they are serious scamsters.
SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! Stay away from Jacques and Ruan. The only guarantee you have is that you will never see your money again!!
We signed a contract with Module Kitchens to the value of R200k for new kitchen cupboards only - excluding the tops which was done by another contractor Before signing and accepting the quote, the owner Harry van den Berg and his wife, Karin were literally a phone call away to arrive the same day on site on time. That was then. In the meantime we have paid our bill for the kitchen in full, but the workmanship is a horror story. Karin has vanished of the face of the earth and refuse to answer our calls and WhatsApps, Harry has an attitude of "take me to court if you want" and even went so far as to threaten me that he will hire Nigerians to take me and my family out!!! As if we did anything wrong!!! It is now six months later and still we had no satisfactory feedback or effort from Module Kitchens to rectify the poor work executed by them. In the meanwhile, our drawers and doors are literally falling out/off and the so-called “imported from Italy” hinges and rollers are now evident of being nothing more than imported cheap-skate rubbish We are now sitting with a quote of R50k from another contractor to rectify the rubbish of Module Kitchens as they simply refuse to take responsibility or ownership of their poor work and sub -standard materials Be aware not to deal with this company and feel free to call me and come look at the quality of material and workmanship yourself. This company is nothing else but a bunch of dishonest, rude, incompetent back-yard mechanics and con-artists
We had a Gas installation done - all R40 000 paid for in full - by the Gas "Guru". From day one we had problems and empty promises by Jason and Joan Janssen. It is now 2 months after the so-called Guru has "completed" his installation, which is nothing more than sub-standard material and workmanship. After several phone calls, WhatsApps and e-mails to Jason and Joan we ended up contracting another gas company, Gas Line, to repair the leaks in our kitchen. This after breaking out new tiles, taking out half of our new (R450k) kitchen, breaking through new-built walls and lifting paving in a new house (to install new piping) we are now living in for 2 months only. Today we are still without a certificate (and without insurance on the house!!!) from Gas Guru, this after several requests to Jason, who is now totally ignoring our calls and WhatsApps. We ended up today giving our lawyer instruction to proceed with legal action against Gas Guru, for what is is worth to this ignorant company and the Joans's. Our bill for repairing damages is in excess of R10 000, and the Gas Guru is on the run. Furthermore, instead of using Class 1 copper piping, Mr. Janssen decided to rather use normal copper water piping (!!!) on certain sections which does not comply to regulation at all. Obviously by using non-compliant material is much more profitable for Mr. & Mrs. Janssen, regardless the safety & well-being of their clients. Take my advise and do not do business with Gas Guru. Anyone is welcome to contact me ( ********** 065) or to come and visit my premises in Woodhill to see for yourself how it should not be done The Gas "Guru" should change it's name to the Gas Gremlin rather
