I bought quite a few bikes from this Company and never expected such bad customer service in my life! I will never do business there again!! The lady called Rica is not just rude and abrubt but her driving is pathetic and wreckless. Her manner off speaking is absolutely unexceptable. My drivers will not do their services there again I would rather loose my warranty's! My driver was shocked and complained about her and the way she drives.

We are compelled to place the following on record regarding the Jonway quad bike purchased from Bike Mania on 19 June 2025: Initial Purchase & Immediate Failure : We collected the brand-new quad bike with a purchase price of R37k from Bike Mania on 19 June 2025 and transported it to our farm in Thabazimbi. On 20 June 2025 and after only 19km on the clock, the bike cut out and refused to start. On 23 June 2025 we returned the bike to Bike Mania, who stripped the engine. Paul confirmed it appeared to be a latent factory defect. First Repair by Jonway : The bike was sent to Jonway for repairs. On 7 August 2025, after nearly six weeks, the bike was returned, repaired at no cost, with a one-year guarantee on the work. Second Breakdown On 23 August 2025, we tested the bike again on our farm for the first time after receiving it on 7 August 2025. After 213km, the same failure occurred. Once again, we were forced to return the bike to Bike Mania, who sent it back to Jonway. Unacceptable Delays & Lack of Communication : On 29 August 2025 I phoned Bike Mania for an update and was told I would be contacted soon. No feedback was received. On 10 September 2025, after yet another follow-up call from my side, I was contacted by Carika from Jonway, who advised that the engine tappets were faulty and were being repaired/replaced. Summary of Position : It has now been 12 weeks since purchase, and we remain without a functioning quad bike. The bike has a mere 213km on the clock and has already failed twice. We have been forced to transport the bike back and forth between Thabazimbi and Pretoria at great inconvenience and cost (over 1,200km in travel). Feedback has been sporadic and inadequate, and we are left with no cer*****y as to when we will receive a reliable, functional product. Stay away from Bike Mania and Jonway!!!

Bought a power station from Stink.co.za via Takealot. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the unit, it is usually when you have issues where you get to know a company's ability to deliver after sales support. In this case the process was completely effortless. I sent mail via their "Contact us" option on their website. This was over the holiday period in December and my unit was replaced within 4 days. The service was exceptional and was very pleasantly surprised.

Absolutely DISAPPOINTED ! I recently purchased two Big Boy scooters with the EXPECTATION for a reliable and safe ride. Unfortunately, my experiences has been far from satisfactory. Whilst driving my bike last week Sunday the front brakes suddenly failed while driving at a speed of 70km, putting my life at significant risk. Besides the obvious fact that I could’ve been seriously injured, the bike is still well within warranty and has only driven a total of 440km which is very concerning and has me questioning how reliable these scooters really are.

Can't give a low enough review on johnway there's no, no star rating, my girlfriend bought a big boy 200cc bike from big boy in pinetown durban and has had the worst experience with it from day one, stripped handle bar clamp bolts, afaulty charging system, faulty battery, starting issues, and every time the bike was taken in for repairs she was without the bike for ages, we stopped taking it for repairs because of that, and the fact that every time it was "repaired" it came back firstly with her setup being messed with making me have to set it back to where she's comfortable riding with and secondly always having more issues than when the bike went in and there are A LOT!! And they charge the earth for their poor service, we finally were told to take the bike to johnway in berea they came and picked the bike up and dropped it off again that was useful but after saying they must not touch the setup that was changed, and now we sit with a broken brake lever because clearly bike shops don't believe in talk wrenches to tighten things to the correct talk instead it's a case of crank it up as tight as possible or so loose it can be turned out with your fingers, I was out of work for just over two years because I don't have "papers" to show what I can do, but I now work on cars that are valued at no less than a million rand because the guys heard about my work experience and saw what I know, but yet let me walk around looking for work and it's all about what papers do I have, this country really has it backwards and businesses don't take pride in their work its all about how quick they can make money and not customer satisfaction, but at the end of the day my girl friend is still left with a pile of **** for a bike that still has more payments than it was even worth to start with, anyone wanting to buy a bike to get into riding or even get to work etc don't get a big boy they are **** and way over priced, just like johnway or any or the cheeper brands, rather look at getting a known brand second hand, it will be cheeper to fix up a good brand and way more reliable than the Chinese **** sold in this country, I'm yet to find a bike shop that can actually fix a bike correctly, or keep a customer happy with their service,

Such a wonderful experience from start to finish I sent my s****** in for repairs and service, and not only was the price great - but the staff was courteous and polite and willing to accommodate my preference for email communication. I have purchased a few spares from them before this and their eagerness to help and assist me is what made me decide to send my s****** there in the first place. I have had her back for about two weeks now and she is still driving like a dream and I havent had a whisper of any other type of issue really wonderful service and would recommend them to anyone!
