Got a message for a false bill. Ended account at telkom over a year ago. Then payed telkom an additional few months just because they couldn't stop the account within the 30 day notice period that their TC said is the policy. This is a scam and this company is just trying to seep in money from people that wouldn't know any better. This company should be closed down since they do work under false pretence, and try to scam innocent people without doing necessary research on the case they take on. Pathetic!
So i made an online upgrade on the 10th of Oct 2017. It was just a sim upgrade and therefore i don't believe i had to wait for a backlog order or anything like that. I really needed to do the upgrade due to the lack of finances i'm facing. The consultant that contacted me shortly after applying for the upgrade said that the new contract would kick in at the end of the month. However, when that time came, the contract never kicked in... I phoned in to the online orders department, and the consultant said that she can see the upgrade request, but does not know why it has not kicked in. Rather shoddy feedback for a supposedly trained consultant. She said the contract should kick in at the end of Nov... I was dissapointed, but accepted it. Lo-and-behold, end of November, the new contract did not kick in and i was still paying for my old expensive contract. I then tried contacting Vodacom Online multiple times, and every time the consultant says hello and then the line just closes. I also wait for 1/2 hour or so just to be serviced on the online upgrade call. Apart from this, the contract i do have currently has a phone down payment for the phone i received as well as an sim package... After the contract expired, Vodacom was still taking money for the down payment of the phone... And since im getting no response from Vodacom Twitter or phone calls, i'm basically being robbed in broad daylight. This is the most pathetic experience i have ever received from any online vendor and i'm ashamed for being tied down in a contract with Vodacom.
