1 Year after my contract was settled and paid for they tell me they reactivated my account and now I owe them R2000. Spoke to a lady from Vodacom Collections saying that they reactivated my account after my paid up my arrears. Just 2 months ago I was in a Vodacom store to apply for a contract where they told me that I had a contract that was in "Pre Legal" for which I spent 2 hours on the phone with Vodacom with no resolution bouncing from department to department. Eventually deciding to leave the issue and save my sanity since they all told me that I owe nothing on the contract. Now I get an email saying I owe R1800 when I wasn't notified that my contract is getting reactivated.
Had a really terrible experience cancelling my policy but after calling their call center and making a formal complaint I was quick to get a call from one of their agents. Actually resolved my issue. So updated my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star for that reason.
People are absolutely right about Standard Bank Insurance. Avoid them at all costs. When I signed up for my insurance policy I was mislead into agreeing to a R8500 excess. The gentleman I spoke to told me that my excess is R3500 for a very high premium so I asked what happens if we increase the excess to R5000 and I was then saving R100 or so on my monthly premium (From R1800 to about R1700) per month. When it came time to claim I was informed that I would be paying a R10500 excess which I queried and it was then explained to me that the R5000 excess I asked for is ADDED to the R3500 basic excess making my new starting excess a minimum of R8500. This was NOT explained to me but anyways... Cancelled my claim and proceeded to pay for repairs out of my own pocket which suddenly cost me less than the excess to repair. Skip forward a week or 2 and I call to cancel since I find an insurance company that was completely ***** you over and now they want to inform me that I have to give them a month's notice like I was leaving a job or rental property. It doesn't work that way. If I cancel my policy and then you force me to pay for another month that is theft. I told the lady that it is fine if the debit order goes off and then you can refund me the money for the insurance I won't get and she dismissed me saying that I will not get a refund citing that there is a 30 day notice period. Everyone knows you are not going to be paying out any claims for a customer that is leaving. I have taken my complaint to your complaints department for which nothing happened and I have now taken you to the ombudsman. What happens to people who lose their job? You expect them to pay for another month of insurance when they can't afford it? I will not sit idly by and let you rob me. Here is your Ombudsman reference just in case you thought I was joking E7JVVGN7
I went there for an issue I was having of my computer not coming on. I had been back and forth to other stores who fixed the problem only to have it happen again a week or 2 later. I was told about this store by a friend and called through and received nothing but professional service from the start. I explained my issue and was told they could take a look at it the same day and hopefully have it resolved. I took it there and had a gentleman named Sebastian take a look at it. Very friendly and very professional service. Their prices are affordable and the work they do is simply amazing! Cannot recommend them enough
