Telkom does not deliver.
My fiancé applied for an ADSL through Telkom and was informed a week later that her application was successful and that she had to pay a R700 deposit before installation will be done which she did at the post office. About a week later a very arrogant guy from Open Serve came to do the installation and upon his arrival after giving my fiancé a missed call on her phone to phone him back to open the complex gate he just looked around and said that there was no infrastructure for him to install the line and that we had to provide the under ground piping for him to enable to pull the wires through and that was for her expense. He said that she should call him when that was done. My concern here is that Telkom approved a service without any pre conditions and we expect them to fulfill their obligation to provide us with an ADSL line.
