I made an enquiry on the MTN website in November 2022 for a new contract. MTN uses Mondo www.mondo.co.za as a third-party company to assist with contracts. I got a call from Mondo on the 25th November 2022 to finalise my contract, during this call I specifically asked if I would be able to port my CELLC number over to MTN to be linked to my contract, the consultant said it will be done once I receive my sim card by contacting MTN. When I received my phone I did not receive a sim card with it. I called Mondo and was asked to visit an MTN branch to get a sim and to get my number ported. After going in to 2 MTN branches where I was told Mondo needs to provide the sim or I will be charged for a sim swap and I will not be able to link my existing number to my contract and I would have 2 sims - a contract sim and my existing number ported to a prepaid sim, I then called Mondo AGAIN, I was then told that I need to go back to MTN buy a sim and port my number and then contact Mondo again to get a sim swap done. On Thursday 2nd March I requested a sim swap to be done by Mondo, they requested the sim number for my number to be linked to and they confirmed the number that will be linked. On the 15th March, my sim stopped working completely, I get an error that says my sim is not provisioned. Since then I have made 6 calls to Mondo and 2 calls to MTN and my sim is still not working, IT IS NOW THE 24TH OF MARCH. They have linked my number to a sim that I do not have. I have been asked to put the sim in that I received with the phone but I DID NOT GET ONE!!! Mondo keeps telling me that the sim swap is done and I need to wait 48 hours each time. IF YOU EVER TRY TO TAKE OUT AN MTN CONTRACT MAKE SURE MONDO IS NOT HANDLING IT, THEY ARE USELESS!!!!!!
Terrible customer service. I ordered a pair of Nike Air Force sneakers on the 25th September, I was told my requested size was available. When my order was delivered on the Friday 27th September the size was incorrect, I was told that size I wanted was not available but he would try source it, after numerous messages the size I needed was going to be delivered on Tuesday 1st October, I was told the driver was on his way, this went on for a few hours, I called a few times for feedback eventually his phone was switched off. The driver never arrived and I cancelled my order on Tuesday, I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND. My messages are ignored yet you can see he has been online. The service is absolutely pathetic.
You should seriously close down your Greenstone branch. Always have issues when purchasing from this branch! 3 drumsticks in an 8 piece Family Treat after specifically asking for no drumsticks!!
