Extremely appalled by the service at Fedauto(Ford) Kokstad; My mom’s new car from 2015 has been getting serviced between them and East London routinely, and the last few services before it stopped on the side of the road was with Fedauto Kokstad. Unfortunately for us the closet garage it could be towed to was at said Fedauto and we would regret it from the moment it got there. I’m talking wrong diagnostics and an ending administrative nightmare. The latest and the cherry on top was of them, give or take 3 months later, telling us of an outstanding amount we didn’t pay, blaming my middle-aged mother and proceeding to harass and hunt us down like dogs for the money to be payed as soon as we can pay it. While they had the courtesy of 3 months we were generous enough to settle the perpetual nightmare within 15 days. And I dare say we were harassed until that last penny hit their bank. Do I hope it is over! I know these companies don’t care and they lose one customer and get on with their lives and so what if one person gets put off ever buying Ford or Mazda or visiting these garages. We gotta pick our poisons right! This is more a cautionary tale for anyone even considering buying a car from these companies or even using Fedauto Kokstad: RUN. And if you must pay the extra fee to get your car to a better centre, do that. You will have better peace of mind and At least your money won’t be poured into some crooked/incompetent business. I actually wish there was an option with no stars. They don’t even deserve one.
I am on my second year of my two year contract for the unlimited ADSL at R599. From the onset the company in the East London area has been an absolute pain. Took them centuries to get my line running, long unbearable lines in their Hemingways store were most of the staff is unhelpful much and has no accountability at all. With the worst monopoly company attitude, completely unfazed by their bad customer service in reality and as is apparent on this hello peter forum. My latest headache has been trying to move my line...numerous excuses about why it has not been installed down to the fact that I owe money: so I should continue paying for a service I cannot use because someone is taking their sweet time to get it installed!! No real answers have been given to me regarding when I will have the line, more blame shifting than helpfulness and never-ending obnoxiousness. Now here is a company that is completely unfazed. Im pretty sure their staff ask the same question I ask myself most days: why do I continue to use the service if I am so unhappy with it!? Can telecommunications companies in SA step up please, we are drowning in a load of klunk....
