It is a pity there is not a zero star option. When the Uber driver did not arrive to collect me from the Gautrain station. I eventually cancelled the trip and took a taxi. This would have been the end of my story, but... I then get an email to say that their driver cancelled the trip because I refused to wear a mask. This is an outright lie. The response I then get from Uber is: If you have any concerns, we recommend contacting your local health department or your physician for guidance. Your ongoing patience and understanding are appreciated as we work to help support the health and safety of the Uber community. What does the local health dept or my physician have to do with their driver making false statements?
Worst customer service ever! Emails do not get replied to and when you phone them a "manager" will phone you back - no one ever does. They were quick to take my order and money, but didn't bother to tell me that they actually don't have stock of the items I ordered and paid for and now I can't find out when or if I will get my order
An absolute nightmare!!!! They were by far NOT the cheapest quote, but were the only movers who could do my load in December. I now understand why. They were late in collecting the load. I had arranged with them to collect the load in the morning, because I had a flight to catch in the afternoon. They arrived to collect at 13:20 because according to their driver, they first had to load pallets for their boss. This "boss", Mr Jodie Riback (the MD of the company) when I phoned him to tell him that they were late and none of his staff could tell me when they would be arriving told me to "chill, its Christmas". They told me it would take a day and a half to get my stuff to Cape Town from Centurion. It actually took them 4 days before they delivered my furniture. My furniture that was practically brand new and undamaged when they loaded it, was filthy and had scuffs and scratches on most of it and 2 pieces (one a family heirloom) were broken. Mr Jodie Riback's response is it is my problem, but they are prepared to fix it with glue. Please, please do NOT give your precious possessions to these people to handle.
They deserve no stars. I ordered 4 x beef trinchada and 3 bread rolls. The food was absolutely disgusting. I counted my steak cubes and there were 13 x 1cm cubes and for this I paid R110.00. the steak was so tough that it was inedible. The bread rolls that I paid for never arrived. I will never order from them again.
I dealt with Wayne at Furniture Basket and received "above and beyond" service from him. Even though we gave him different specs for the furniture we ordered, for instance a different seating arrangement and higher chairs than normal for an elderly person, we received the furniture 3 days before the due delivery date. Not only that the quality of the upholstery was excellent and the frame sturdy. After reading the other reviews on Hello Peter, I was very nervous to order from them, but they required NO upfront payment not even a deposit, so I went ahead and placed the order since I had nothing to lose. My furniture was delivered 3 days early in perfect condition, the only thing I said to Wayne was that the chair seat were a little too firm. He immediately said that they had used a high density foam, but could change it to medium density if I preferred that. He returned the next day with medium density foam and replaced the foam in the seats. Bearing in mind that the delivery address was 200 Km away from their shop and that I never specified before what foam I wanted him to use, I think that that action on his behalf proved that he wants his customers to be happy before they pay. When I had to make the payment it was an absolute pleasure for me to do it. I would HIGHLY recommend them. Thanks Wayne - you are a star!
