Be aware never order from Furniture Basket
I ordered a lounge suite, wingback chair and a ottoman. I was quoted 7999 plus deliver fee of R1500.00. I paid a deposit of R2000.00. I kept on asking for the progress and photos. I was called to onform me they are on the way with the delivery. On receipt of the couches I immediately contacted Wayne to inform him that I am sending the couches back as the quality is very bad and nothing like the photos. He then offered to replace the couches. I ordered a wingback and ottoman everything was paid for. The first week he avoided me. After threatening him he suddenly replied and promised delivery in week 2. On friday as I was expected the couches, he had another excuse. Again threatening him he promised to deliver on Friday. He shared photos of a couch but it was not what I ordered. No wingback or ottoman. I have canceled the order. He now responded he will pay me back in 21 days. He is a smooth talk.

Cheat! Pls dont trust them!
This guys are thugs...we online ordered a set of couch which was promised to be a high quality stuff but it started wearing and tearing sooner than we thought...they gave us 5 years warranty but only after 3 months or so the couch cushions etc became so dilapidated that we are now thinking of buying another set. These guys dont respond to calls and they are least bothered about any thing. Dont trust them. They are bunch of useless rookies. Instead gp to some reputed stores. We have already lost our hard earned 7500 rands :(

Don't do it
These people have no design for couches. We wanted the "Paris sofa", got our couches with uneven cuts and the whole design doesn't fit into eachother. Don't let them fool you with the pictures put on the website. VERY poor communication. Promises are not kept.

Don't do it

What a Pleasure!!!!
I dealt with Wayne at Furniture Basket and received "above and beyond" service from him. Even though we gave him different specs for the furniture we ordered, for instance a different seating arrangement and higher chairs than normal for an elderly person, we received the furniture 3 days before the due delivery date. Not only that the quality of the upholstery was excellent and the frame sturdy. After reading the other reviews on Hello Peter, I was very nervous to order from them, but they required NO upfront payment not even a deposit, so I went ahead and placed the order since I had nothing to lose. My furniture was delivered 3 days early in perfect condition, the only thing I said to Wayne was that the chair seat were a little too firm. He immediately said that they had used a high density foam, but could change it to medium density if I preferred that. He returned the next day with medium density foam and replaced the foam in the seats. Bearing in mind that the delivery address was 200 Km away from their shop and that I never specified before what foam I wanted him to use, I think that that action on his behalf proved that he wants his customers to be happy before they pay. When I had to make the payment it was an absolute pleasure for me to do it. I would HIGHLY recommend them. Thanks Wayne - you are a star!

Furniture Basket is a scam business !
Furniture Basket is a scam. I dealt with Wayne on the following 2 numbers: ********** 956 & ********** 727 - during the purchase process. You have to order and pay before they deliver...and delivery did not happen on due date. Once paid for - Wayne was uncontactable. I finally went to find their offices (before they moved out) - and insisted they deliver my order. When I finally got the delivery the couches were broken within weeks- the wood panels in the couch structure were cracking. The wood structure of their couches are made of old, rotten & broken pieces of wood that cant support the weight of a human. Furniture basket sales & customer service remain uncontactable and no longer in their offices ( cnr Main & Witkoppen). Be warned - you are NOT likely to get your furniture and IF you do (as I was persistent) the quality is severely compromised and you will have to buy another whole new lounge suite.

Furniture basket fraudster
I have been robbed by a Wayne from Furniture basket. They have a website with contact details and everything. I put in a deposit for a dining table and maintained that I will give the balance as COD when they deliver. Wayne has been giving me a run around for 2 months now and am still waiting for my refund. His contact details are ********** . Please do not buy anything from this guy!!!

Furniture basket fraudster

<p>Had my couch for a month and the base broke. Trying without success to get Furniture Basket to do a repair. Should never have bought from them. Rather add a few bucks and buy from a reputable Furnisher.</p>
