Booking slots are quite scarce which results in travelling to a DLTC which is substantial distance away. I made a learners license booking online to go to a DLTC and be told that I cannot finalize my booking as my current learners license is still valid (expires in 4 days). Why allow a booking to be made if it cannot be completed, further to this, why do I have to travel to a DLTC and wait in queues just to be told that the booking cannot be finalized.

All of the below is stated on pure fact and the absolute failure of Andrew and Randburg Carports & Fencing. This review will stay online till such time that the job is properly completed, or I am reimbursed for the money wasted. I found Andrew on the Bark website (he is longer registered here), and he seemed to be a good reputable contractor. The job was simple. repair a leaky roof. Issue 1 (Leaking roof and failure to repair): Andrew's staff worked on my roof on the 15th of November. It became apparent that the work done was an absolute failure as the roof is still leaking. I asked Andrew on the 27th of November to honor his "min 10 year warranty" and fix the roof properly, to which he responded, he will send his workers the next morning (Monday 28 November). To no surprise nobody arrived, and Andrew provided the excuse that he is in hospital (many more excuses to follow)... Andrew thereafter agreed that he would come personally the next day (Tuesday) to investigate... Yet another excuse, his daughter fell and his wife is in meetings. Andrew agreed again that he would send his workers the next day (Wednesday), which of course didn't happen. There was no excuse from Andrew apart from him blaming his workers that they are meant to be there. Andrew said he would follow up with his workers and revert back to me, which of course he didn't do... So, at this point, I have stayed away from work for 3 days waiting for Andrew to show up, which he didn't do. It is also important to note, that Andrew did not once contact me to inform me that our arrangements will not be honored, every single time I had to follow up with him and be provided some excuse as to why he can't honor our arrangements. I thereafter confronted Andrew about his lack of service and conflicting excused, more on this on Issue 2. Issue 1 continuing: My wife thereafter decided that she would continue to engage with Andrew and attempt to get him to fulfil his duties: My wife managed to get Andrew to send his workers on the 1st of December (Thursday). His workers checked the roof, and informed my wife that they do not have the material to fix the leaking roof and they left without doing anything.... My wife thereafter asked Andrew which day would suit him to send through his workers, Andrew suggested Thursday the 8th of December. Of course, nobody arrived. My wife followed up, and Andrew provided the excuse that he was ridden off of his bike on Malibongwe. My wife thereafter agreed that Andrew should send someone over the course of the weekend, as we cannot afford to stay away from work anylonger. Andrew agreed that he would send his workers on the 11th of December (Sunday). Yet again, to no surprise, nobody arrived. This time though, no excuses was provided, Andrew just ignored our phone calls and texts. In summary a full 2 weeks has passed with 6 arrangements to complete the job, and Andrew did not honor his word once, and only provided excuses. Issue 2: I confronted Andrew on the multiple illogical excuses provided, and Andrew stated that I am the one in the wrong. Andrew further elaborated that he does not understand why I am being so confrontational, and he wishes to only sort out the roof... Instead of trying to actually resolve the situation, Andrew justified his lack of service with the prior excuses provided (in a very aggressive tone). A letter of demand was issued from my attorneys and another 2 appointments scheduled with Andrew, which again he did not tend to. The excuse this time was that he didn’t realise it was a public holiday, and thereafter, “I don’t know where my workers are”.

I e-mailed Idirect with a simple request, update my work and living address... This was too much of a task to complete. 11 days and no response... I've requested to cancel my policy. I cannot imagine the hassle I would have to go through to get a claim paid out. Let's see how long it will take to get this canceled...

On the 13th of March I received a call from Absa Credit offering me an increase on my credit facilities. I responded to the consultant saying that I am interested but I can't talk at the moment as I washeading into a meeting. I asked the consultant to phone me back anytime the next day. Nothing happened for a week. I thereafter e-mailed the credit department and Antonio Nel responded and asked me for certain details and suggested that I go to an Absa branch, I e-mailed back several times asking that a consultant phones me back for the credit increase. I was completely ignored and nothing has happened to date. Pathetic service
