I moved out of a place in Port Elizabeth " 5 Eastwick House" on the 30 April 2023, terminated the contract in time and moved out before the beginning of the month leaving the premises spotless, this is after having allowed viewings of more than 5 people. Now their Debbie Pretorius is saying that I am responsible for rent until they find another tenant. I found the place uninhabited, and I was never informed of this clause, if I would be responsible for the rent, why was this not told to me and why were the keys taken from me, If I was informed of this I would not have moved out as I would still be paying, How is one held financially responsible for property that they do not have access to? Now she keeps sending me the bill for a place in their possession and they have my deposit refusing to send it to me, I have referred the matter to my attorney's. Regards Zano - 083 577 3911
On the 01st February 2020 I was bumped by someone whilst driving a Avis/Budget renal vehicle, I was given a reference by the company of the vehicle that bumped me to Old Mutual who is their insurer. Avis agents stopped me from claiming the money they were requiring that I pay R21 982.33 as well as my own R2 762.80 from Old Mutual saying that they would be doing it themselves. Since then I have heard nothing from Avis only that I need to pay the R21 982.33, when I speak to their agents who contact their head office from the East London Airport branch, I am always told that the claim is at an advanced stage but. I have yet to hear that it has been settled and my R2 762.80 has not been returned to me. I am now being forced to pay for something that was not my fault whilst at the same time having been forbidden from claiming the money from PE ICE Cream who actually had no problem with directing me to Old Mutual, Old Mutual also had no problem with giving me their contacts so that I can give them to Avis/Budget. I am not even aware if Avis/Budget did receive the money but is just now tricking me into paying them again and not returning my money.
I am still standing in line 12 where were were made to wait for more than 15 minutes, there was clearly a problem with the tagging machine but absolutely no communications from the staff. I phone 043 702 4400 with my cell to get a senior to assist but the lady I spoke to who would not give her name said that she could not see my number "it is clearly visible" and said she was gonna go and look for the manager, when I called back in +- 5 minutws, the phone was not picked up.The cashier did not have a name tag and ignored me when I asked who she was.I am appalled at the level of indignation that a s**** that is clearly make money of us, is giving us.there are many shops around this are and I am gonna try and use the OK in Oxford in the future.
