I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding poor service and lack of resolution from both Shoprite and PayJustNow. I purchased a R100 voucher, but I never received it because it was sent to my old phone number, which I no longer have access to. I have already explained this situation to both parties. Shoprite advised me to contact PayJustNow for a refund, while PayJustNow is now referring me back to Shoprite. This back-and-forth has been extremely frustrating and unhelpful. As a customer, I should not be sent between companies without a proper solution.

I am extremely disappointed with the conditions I experienced today at Shoprite Mams Mall. At around 16:00, while shopping, the store environment was filled with excessive dust, creating what I consider to be a serious health and safety hazard. This is completely unacceptable, especially in a food retail environment where cleanliness and hygiene should be a top priority. It appeared that some form of activity (possibly maintenance or testing) was taking place during operating hours, exposing customers and employees to these unsafe conditions. This should never happen while the store is open to the public. Such work should be conducted after hours to avoid putting people at risk. What made the situation worse is that there was no visible effort to control the dust or ensure customer safety at the time. This raises serious concerns about Shoprite’s commitment to health and safety standards. Customers should not be subjected to hazardous conditions while simply trying to shop. I request that this matter be urgently investigated and that clear steps are taken to prevent this from happening again. I will escalate this further to the relevant authorities if necessary.

I am very disappointed with the service received from Shoprite Money Market regarding a Checkers voucher purchased via PaysJustNow. My sister purchased a Money Market voucher specifically to buy groceries from Checkers. Unfortunately, due to a change in her phone number, she was unable to access or use the voucher. She approached Shoprite Money Market for assistance, expecting a quick and practical solution. However, it has now been over a week, and the issue remains unresolved. What is even more frustrating is that she was not advised of a simpler option — such as transferring the voucher to another number — which could have resolved the issue immediately. Instead, she has been left without access to funds that were meant for essential groceries. As a result, she has had to spend additional money out of pocket to buy food, while the voucher remains unusable. This situation is not only inconvenient but also stressful and unfair, especially when the funds are urgently needed. I believe the matter could have been handled more efficiently by the Shoprite Money Market agents. Customers should be given clear, practical solutions without unnecessary delays. I kindly request urgent assistance in resolving this issue and ensuring that the voucher can either be transferred or accessed without further delay.

If you need something done ASAP talk to this guy he is so so helpful and managed to sort out my enquiry same time. This guy deserves a raise or promotion honestly in the time he was busy helping me he was swiftly dealing with other customer enquiries and leaving all customers happy and sorted in no time. Today I was at Shoprite Darras centre was served by a light lady by the name of Amanda she was very rude when I asked her why she's jumping us on the line and serving her friends her answer was those were her workmates which was very wrong if we are to do that its not fair I will never come back to your store ever

Shoprite de aar I was assaulted and shouted by a cashier , went there to withdraw money on the till. I had a powerade that I already drank, paid for it and I left at the dustbin by the cashier. Whilst on my way out , the cashier ran towards me, hitting me at the back and throwing an empty powerade at me. She didn't apologize very rude.
