We got robbed on Sunday and in the process our laptops were stolen. I was under the impression that my e-mail history is being backed up on the Cpanel. Turns out that it wasn't. The simple reason being that I set up an POP e-mail account and not an IMAP. Now for you IT experts, it is common knowledge what the difference is. We, normal people, don't. When the e-mail set up details were mailed directly from the server to me, it gave IMAP and POP as options. Nowhere it states the difference. So I am angry. It is just another insult to the already injury of being robbed. I don't know much, but I personally think the less people make us of IMAP e-mail settings, the better for Afrihost. All I can assume (not being an IT specialist) is that IMAP takes up a lot more space which in turn cost them money. (So shhhhh, let us be quiet about the difference.) I am so angry.
Dear Stuart, Apologies for communicating to you as a user/ member of HelloPeter and not as Bugman. As you mentioned, we returned multiple times, every time giving you the benefit of the doubt. We honestly never had to return to one client so many times. ****roaches don't only breed in your home but also from food not being properly stored, dustbins area etc. There are many reasons. We even took it up with our supplier in Midrand, which is reputable, asking them if they changed their poison in any way. As a gesture of goodwill, we will offer a free treatment for a 3 bedroom home to any of your family members or friend in Johannesburg. Phone or whattsapp me (Sue) on 082 829 4421
Good Day, Instead of going into the full history of the problems I experienced with Geex I will just keep it simple. We all know how critical it is to stay on-line via our e-mails. Geex assisted me in December and they were very helpful and friendly. However I experienced a problem with my computer re. the software approx. 1 + week ago. and it was something that was not difficult for them to assist me with. I basically begged them to get back to me... but they didn't. Subsequently had to go the long way about speaking to Microsoft in the UK and Dial a Nerd. I lost so much time in the process. I honestly don't think they have the infrastructure to offer great after-service.
