Despite my efforts to access your escalation process, I have encountered long wait times, unhelpful staff, lack of transparency. I understand that government institutions play a vital role in serving citizens, and I believe that every citizen deserves efficient, respectful, and effective service. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of these expectations. I kindly request that you have sense of urgency an take necessary steps to improve service delivery or improve your service level. I would appreciate it if you could provide me with turnaround time for this issue raised to be effectively dealt an resolved? I look forward to hearing from you soon. I was mislead by the agent - Florence . I applied for a home loan and it was approved, I went through Cosmopolitan Projects to buy a home for myself and my family. I was given a plan to view for the house that they would build for us, we went to view the property in Savana City and I was happy with what I saw in terms of the size of the houses which I believe is 70 square meters. It was agreed with the agent that we are looking for house with a bigger stand (open space in the yard) as I have plans on extending the house in the future. The 70 square meter houses were not available, in Palm Springs where I initially wanted to buy my home, all corner stands were taken. The agent advised me to rather apply in Everton West as those stands there are bigger and will be ideal for my future building plans. I went with her suggestion, based on her experience of the landscape. Weeks later, I went to view the property and to my dismay it is not what we agreed on. She was also unable to explain simple things that she should know based on her profession and requested her colleague to explain to me what she struggled to understand. She basically sold me something that is not what I wanted and she herself didn't understand it, hence she brought her colleague to verify the stand. To my surprise the colleague fully explained to the agent and me and my wife that Florence is incorrect and that the yard she promised I would be able to get for my future plans, will be occupied by another house. In our conversation (me, my wife, Florence and her colleague) spoke about them making an expectation for me with Cosmopolitan Projects, to allow me to get the stand the way it was promised to me, bigger without the other house being built there. After this was brought to light, I tried to cancel the building, as I do not want to buy a house that I will need to pay off for 30 years while I am not happy with it and I cannot do what I intended on doing, I can rather buy another house in another area and fulfil my plans to extend the way I want to. However I was advised that I will be held liable for 10% cancellation fee which is ± R 48 000.00 of which I believe is unfair coz I was mislead the entire time, the agent - Florence should be liable for those fees. Now she comes with additional attitude, giving me **** about how I should not include her colleague, of which she was the one that brought him into this entire situation. The sad part is that I have worked very hard to pay off ± R 57 000.00 which was required from me for them to push my application. Had she been honest with me, I would not have applied for a home in Everton West to begin with, I would continued my search for a home until I found something that fits me & my family needs. I would like this to be rectified, as I have waited since October 2017 after making the first payment of R 25 000.00 deposit and settling the remaining balance of ± R 56 000.00. I want them to either give me the yard space I require or cancel this application without me having to pay cancellation fees for their agents mess-up.
