Please get rid of Dave Abbott. He's a has-been wanna-be muso. What was supposed to be an enjoyable Sunday lunch out, turned into us taking our main meal home as a takeaway. The poor quality of the music was just too much to bear!!!
EMPLOYMENT SCAMMER ALERT! You receive an email from Mohammed Al Qasim, HR Manager at Wilma Engineering LLC in Dubai advising you that you have been successful in your application for a position at their company. They go to great lengths in reeling you in over weeks of email correspondence. Towards the end of the "recruiting process" they advise that you need to contact their lawyers (who are also in on the scam) in Dubai to make arrangements for your Visa and other travel documents. It turns out this will cost about R14,000. They advise that once you are in Dubai, the company will re-imburse you all monies you have spent. (ha ha ha ha) All communications end when you advise that you are not in a financial position to pay for your travel documents and request them to pay for your travel documents. Their website is fake too. The contact numbers and physical address on the website is not the same as on the emails your receive from Mohammed. The English that is used on the contract is good, but not excellent. Big red flag!! The email address they use is a gmail address. Also a red flag! So beware! The UAE government advises that potential employers in the UAE have to pay for your travel documents and they have to source these on your behalf.
PLEASE BE AWARE! These people are SCAMMERS. You receive an email from Phillip Mthembu inviting you for a Pre-interview at their offices. You have to provide your own ITC check and certificate of good standing from the SAPS. If you are unable to bring the documentation, you need to bring R250 CASH. Their website (https://www.global-staffing.co.za/about.html) is fake too! When I googled the address, the satelite picture showed a premises in a very dodgy part of Johannesburg with no sign of offices. When I dialled the mobile number given on the email, my Truecaller ID identified the number as "Phillip Mthembu Scam Employer.Pay". The contact numbers on the email do not match the contact numbers on the wesite. BE WARNED! DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAMMER. Job seekers are desperate to find jobs and these people are stealing money from innocent people!
Potential applicants applying for positions reporting directly to the CEO of Philips Africa and the MD of Philips South Africa, do yourself a favour and RUN! It's not worth your mental and physical health. They victimize their employees and use Performance Improvement Plans as a way of getting you fired! The MD is the CEO's puppet with no backbone who calls himself a CHRISTIAN. As for the HR managers... no use in complaining as they are also in the CEO's back pocket. Use it.... don't use it ... you've been warned.
I paid R1,100.00 up front on 19 April 2018 for Louis to do a fumigation. He has stood me up twice. He has empty promises. He is a scamster! His land line doesn't work and he doesn't return or answer my calls. SPREAD THE WORD! DON'T USE THIS CROOK!! NAME AND SHAME!!
