A local restaurant in Somerset West who seems to only cater for international visitors. We have been disappointed with the attitude of management over the last years as locals are ignored while every whim is catered for the "swallows". We have been told the aircon cannot be turned on as the German couple is cold or the window cannot be opened as the German couple dont want a breeze. This restaurant forgets who keeps them going in the quieter winter months. The cherry on the top was when I decided to once again give them a chance and book a table for my companies year end lunch. I booked about a month ago and was phoned on Friday night informing me that they can no longer help me as another company has booked the restaurant for their company function. Our small table was obviously not good enough regardless of who booked first. They have lost me for good this time and will warn all those prepared to listen. Fortunately there are plenty alternatives on offer. Stephanies get your act together.
Flew BA business class in July from Cape Town, London, Torronto, Vancouver, London, Cape Town. Paid close on R150 000 for 2 tickets. The most shocking experience of my life. Seat configuration is appalling. You are facing a stranger, in our instance, as 2 seats face back and 2 seats on either side face front. In other words, you have to step over someone's legs to gain access to the aisle if seating in the middle 2 seats. My mother has 10 % vision and is 76 years of age. Needless to say this proved to be challenging, even for an able body. Seats were narrow in width and upholstery worn and weathered. My headphone plug points were faulty on 3 of the flights. On our last leg from London to Cape Town, we took off at 10pm and only got drinks and food service at 1am! Then were told that they had run out of fillet. In business class you should NOT be running out of anything! Told them to find fillet and low and behold, 2 fillets miraculously appeared. Convinced they were put aside for staff however after my expressing my absolute disgust with the service, we were served fillet at 1am! Planes are dated and interior very run down. Toilets were tiny and no different from economy class. I need to ask what we were paying for?? I could have flown first class with Emirates for the price we paid on this inferior airline. Business class lounges were non existent and we were put in economy class lounges where we experienced shocking service once again. In London on our return we insisted on been taken to the Quatar lounge as BA just could not produce, once again. I put my complaints in writing and got a stock response apologising for not getting the seat I requested and unfortunately they cannot offer my anything in compensation, as per my request! None of the above was relevant to my complaint at all. I told them not to bother as I would never be flying with them again and will take this to social media to warn other travellers. I once again received a stock response apologising for issues that I had not even mentioned and once again telling me I could not receive anything for free!!!! Not once had I requested anything for free or any compensation. Worst experience of my life and managed to spoil our entire trip. BA if you charge the prices (and most expensive airline for business class) then up your game! Be warned fellow travellers.
I returned an item to Spree on 9 May and still no refund. On my app it says its still being quality checked. I phoned the call centre and was told she would put a manual request through and it would be processed within an couple of days. Still no refund! I have emailed and called...emails not answered and call lines dropped. This is not the first time this has happened to me and previously waited over a month for my refund. I decided to give Spree the benefit of the doubt and used the service again only for the problem to repeat itself. I will never utilise the services of this company again and would not recommend anyone else to do so either. Refund me my money SPREE!!!!!
