Firstly, don’t call me. Secondly, when I decline or am not interested in what you have to offer, don’t become aggressive and rude. They start off politely, then you tell them you are not interested and their true colours show!
SCAM: I paid for an item R2499 and have not received my product - they don’t answer emails or calls. Reported to ombudsman.
I had a few components pop due to a lightning strike. One of those was a Samsung Computer Monitor Model S27C350H. I had taken this device along with a Blu-ray player to SSS Cellular. I told them that the screen of the monitor would flicker on and off. They did their analysis and quoted for repairing the device which would require a new mainboard. I paid for the repairs and they "repaired" the device. I picked up the device mid-March 2018. That evening when I connected and switched on the device it did the exact same thing immediately but worse than ever, flickering violently so you get the idea. The next day I called them to tell them and questioned how it even passed Quality Control and I was immediately bombarded with questions suggesting that maybe I had done something wrong (I have been in IT for over 20 years - I have plugged in thousands of monitors in my life). They promised to come pick the device up from my house, on two occasions I took time off work to wait for them based on pick-up times they gave me, no one ever arrived. Eventually I took another morning off work to take it back myself. I explained the situation to the manager Gert who switched it on with me and saw the problem and said they would fix it. Since then I have called them several times and every time they say the new board is coming this afternoon and we will be testing and call you tomorrow. I have only ever received two calls from them in over three months. I have called about 20 times and emailed several times, and without exaggeration the response has ALWAYS been that a new board is coming either the same day or the next day or that they had put a new board in and tested a without success but again waiting for another board. 229896 is the original Job number - after taking it back they have never updated it to reflect that I brought the monitor back. Every time I call they tell me the device was dispatched to me after repairs, then I have to explain again, then they hand me over to the technician (Suren) where I get the story of the new board arriving etc. They have on two occasions updated the ticket only to find out the next time I call that it has not been updated because they respond by saying the device has been dispatched and then the loop starts again. It is soon moving into to month 5 and I called again this past week and I was told, oh sorry Suren the technician who was working on it has left the company but we will get someone to look at it and come back to you. The minute you try to mention you are unsatisfied you get treated like a suspect. I actually don't know what to do anymore to get my device back in a working condition. And I don't think I need to say how shocking this is service wise including the fact that they make you feel like you are in the wrong when all I am doing is asking for good service and my device to be fixed, seen as I have also paid for it, not only with money but countless hours chasing after them, taking time off work to wait on them and they don't arrive etc. A R800 rand repair has ended up in essence costing me thousands due to their incompetence, and it continues.
