This is for the online shopping ASAP.I placed an order for the second time and I have had the worst experience of my life. The site kept on changing my delivery address to the actual store. I phoned their help line but after waiting 8 min, I chose to leave a message to make sure of my address. The app then showed the driver on the way... nothing until a young lady phoned me to ask me where I am because the driver address shows as the actual store. I explained this to her. she said not to worry. next thing the app shows my order as delivered but I have nothing. the money is out of my bank account and I have no groceries. This is the first time in my online shopping that this has happened. The lady phoned from Scoot. I tried to phone back and got told to go to their website, but I hold Pick 'n Pay responsible.
I have been a subscriber for many years on Compact. A good few years ago I upgraded to Compact Plus, now priced at R529 on my current account plus my decoder insurance R35. Great, however, and I have never really checked my account until today, there is an amount of R100 called an access fee? What is this? Surely my subscription is an access fee? I don't know how many months/years this super rich company has been claiming my R100. I shall do an in-depth search and report back. I only picked this up because I need to save some money due to being retrenched "due to covid" and have to give up on luxuries. How much more am I giving away?
I ordered a solar pool pump for Makro on line on the 1st of September 2019. Delivery was made on the 19th. The order was missing parts. I have been trying since then to have my parts delivered. I have made phone calls and sent at least five e-mail. Every time I get a reply that somebody will get back to me within 5 working days. One time I phoned I was told I had to send photo's of the missing part . I could do this only because I could see it on the box but the other part was only in the advert. This was sent on the 4th of October. I sent another message on the 9th of October. I am yet to get feedback. I have a solar panel, that I hope works with the pump as I am unable to test it. So should I eventually get the part, I might be told I waited to long before testing it and tough luck you bought a dud. This was a pump bought from another company. Makro acting as an agent. My stove I bought through Makro themselves was not a problem, which is why I decided to purchase this pump from them. Obviously a big mistake.
The taxis situated at The Waterfront was always been reasonable in their pricing until I used them today. My passage would normally be between R60 and R70. Today that was R136. The driver tells me this is tourist charges. What? Please be warned when using the Waterfront approved taxis, rather phone for one of the other companies.
