PLEASE READ the bad reviews about Curative movers, don't think it is just that one "bad experience" and you can't keep everyone happy!!! They will **** you out of your last bit of savings. As soon as they receive your deposit for the move, you will not hear anything from them. My furniture was put in their storage facility (which I then received video's and photos of from a friend after it being stored for over 2 weeks) But the storage facility was based in an informal settlement, no real security, dirty, everything just thrown in on top of each other and mixed with other people's stuff... They keep making promises on when your furniture will leave JHB and arrive in CT, but I ended up paying for a guest house and later moved in to my house without any furniture, because I couldn't afford to stay in guest house anymore while I was still waiting for my furniture to arrive. They will not communicate with you, if they do, it's more and more lies, they will charge you for storage fees (even though they decided to keep your things in storage until they filled up their truck) and then EVENTUALLY when my things got delivered, I had things ****** from my tool boxes , broken glassware and wrecked furniture. I had to change arrangements at work to be at home for when they said they will arrive, then didn't arrive, but when they decided to arrive, refused to let me at least see the truck/furniture in the truck before I had to make the final payment. They said that if I don't pay he balance straight away (19:30 at night) the truck will go back to JHB with my things inside. So I basically paid R12 000 to a company that didn't deliver 1 single promise made in 2 weeks, and just had to hope for the best. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! Spend the extra R2000 and get professional work done, on time, with clear communication and peace of mind.
I have bought a pair of expensive rare earth boots in May 2018 at Cresta Cape Union Mart. It was supposed to last me a few years, but after wearing them just 5-6 times, the leather on the front of the boots started comming off. When I returned the boots, the manager said that he would send it in to the factory to fix it or give me a new pair. A month later, I had to return to the store, after I heard nothing back from them, just to see the boots, still in terrible condition, and hear that the factory decided that it was my fault and they will not replace the boots. I told them that it is unacceptable as I paid nearly R2000 for the boots and demanded them to send it back again and come up with a better solution. Again the boots came back (after another 3 months, where I had to go there - not them following up with me) with no result. Then the manager realized that I'm not going to just leave it there, and decided to phone another branch, and said that he will have the new pair of boots in his store just after Christmas. Well, it has been yet another month and I'm still waiting for the call from Cape union mart in Cresta to get my new pair of boots, hopefully in time for this coming winter. I don't think that it is bad just for the brand name itself, but also so bad for Cape Union Mart as a franchise, as there was no effort put into solving this problem so far. It is so dissapointing, and I will never buy anything at Cape Union Mart again.
If I could give Remax Randfontein a minus five or less rating, I would. I have found their service to be completely abominable. As a tenant, they have treated me with no respect, an example of this being sworn and screamed at over the telephone by the rental manager (Simon Steenekamp) and told that my concerns were irrelevant. I was told to “get to the point because I don’t have time for your S***”, after I had been struggling for one month to get help with maintenance issues. Furthermore, I have been accused of not paying my rent on time due to their negligence in not updating their records. In addition to this, the individual responsible for maintenance repeatedly missed appointments without informing me beforehand. I am utterly shocked by the service delivery of this rental agency given their prominence in the real estate industry.
