I bought a few items online a week ago. When I collected the parcel, I immediately opened it to check the sizes. I requested the staff member to return two items because it was the wrong size. She sent me away because THERE WAS NO CASH IN THE TILL. What kind of retail business has no cash in the till? Then, as if that was not bad enough...I returned today to get the refund and they tell me that REFUNDS ARE NOT ALLOWED. WE CAN ONLY GIVE YOU A VOUCHER. Meaning...I am now forced to spend my money again in the piece of **** for a store! I phoned head office just now, only to find out that refunds ARE ALLOWED and they said that they were so sorry that I was told otherwise. Head office even had to explain to me that a voucher can only be app**** IN STORE. The idiots from MRP SPORTS DIAMOND PAVILION did not even take the time to explain that to me. If you are going to order your sports clothes online please avoid this branch. It needs serious intervention!!
This life insurance company has a phone number that NOBODY answers!!! Sadly, my parents belong to this group. They are pensioners and do not have the resources to phone this number all day long. THIS IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!
I walked into Edgars one day to buy some jeans that were on sale at the time. The layout of the store (Diamond Pavilion) was so pathetic...I could not find what I wanted in my size because there were jeans scattered literally all over the show. Whenever I would return from the fitting room i would not know where to replace or find my size. I became so frustrated that i dumped the armful of jeans on the nearest table and left the store. I decided to try their online store instead....this was a mistake. I placed the order perfectly and waited patiently for the delivery. The delivery arrives promptly but one of the jeans they sent was in the incorrect size, but the label on it was that of the correct size. So somebody had mistakenly placed my size label on a jeans that was twice as big. Naturally I contacted the complaints department and they promised to send me a replacement. When the replacement arrived, I noticed that it was a different style than the one I had ordered. I had ordered a stone wash, grey, high waisted jeans...they sent me a plain grey high waisted jeans. After many phone calls and emails later they simply said that they will refund R65 to my account for the inconvenience...end of story. They were quite unapologetic about their huge ***** UP. Now the jeans I was SUPPOSED to be rocking (stone washed grey) simply looks like an OLD grey jeans. Edgars you suck!!!! There are many companies smaller than you that give EXCELLENT online service. I would know as I am a regular online shopper. Edgars, IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE...please get with the program. Your online service SUCKSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
I recently decided to purchase an item from this online store. Before i actually did it i started reading reviews of this service provider...trying to establish if it was worth the trouble. I don't shop online from unknown service providers but they had a product that i've been searching for for ages, so my options were few. Pages and pages of bad reviews...i was so disappointed to hear the horror stories but i took a leap of faith. I really wanted the product. The last step of the online purchase gave me the estimated delivery date which was about three weeks from the purchased date. The waiting was nerve wrecking...i spent R500 so i was worried about not receiving my goods. One week LATER than the expected delivery date my product arrives at home in perfect order. It was a terribly long wait but THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU....LOOT. My first time purchase with you was a good experience! And yes, i would recommend you. Like i said, my purchase was in perfect shape when i received it. Point to note: The contact number for queries is non existent...NOBODY ANSWERS ANY CALLS. This is not good business practice. Could you please work on that.
Hi guys. I just want to take a moment to thank takealot.com for providing excellent service!! I've been using their service for about 2 years now and have never been disappointed. Products are awesome. I use the customer reviews as a guide before I decide to purchase a product. That's always helpful in the decision making process. Returning a product is also a pleasure. They have never had any unreasonable responses with regard to returns. I only use the pick up point service, so I cannot comment on the door to door service. Once more, keep up the good work guys!! It's a thumbs up from me
I have been trying since December 2020 to cancel my account protection plan. Edgars management advised that this "protection plan" was compulsory for clients who do not have a life insurance policy. I then went on to email the accounts department a copy of my life insurance policy so that they could cancel the "protection plan". After about a month they responded that that the policy has been cancelled but they very politely deducted an installment the same month...and I did not make a big deal about it. Low and behold, yesterday I received my latest statement and they are still charging fees for "account protection plan". What the hell is going on Edgars??? We know that your business is not doing well right now but really??? You are now stealing from a single mother. That's incredibly pathetic. I have already made an appointment to take the matter further with the consumer court. I just want other Edgars customers out there to know that the "protection plan" is ONLY compulsory if you don't have life cover. Nobody will tell you this unless you ask them about it because it so easy to squeeze the money out of the uninformed public in order to push the business agenda forward.
I ordered a study desk from Incredible Connection online on the 14th July 2020. I have had to call numerous times to get an update on how far along the process is, but still no feedback from their side. On the order tracking it shows that the product has been delivered successfully...REALLY???? WHEN??? WHERE??? When i called this morning after waiting for 2 weeks already, the customer care lady said that the courier tried to phone me yesterday at 5pm....which of course never happened. I still haven't received the product and would like to have my money back instead. USELESS...TERRIBLE SERVICE PROVIDER!!!!!!! I do not recommend their service to anybody. There was not even an attempt to make a decent follow up and reassure the client.

I am an unhappy customer of Edagars Diamond Pavilion. I am of the opinion that the branch is selling substandard Grendha sandals. My first 2 pairs of Grendha were purchased at your store before I was married and had a baby. They lasted me 7 years before they broke and I wore them often! In 2018 I purchased one pair of black jewelled Grendha sandals from the store again and with three months there was a crack across the sole of the sandals. This is not the brand quality that I know. I returned it after a painful and time consuming process of checking for the slip on the your system. I was quite happy to exchange them for a different pair of plain black Grendha sandals. These lasted me almost 5 months before they too developed a crack across the soles of both shoes. In my frustration, I returned to the store to have them returned. They could not trace the transaction on your system so they said they were unable to exchange it for me. I am quite upset that I spent good money on the sandals, as well as petrol driving up and down to complain that they have broken prematurely, and to add insult to injury, the manager on duty did not assist me to the best of their ability. I will never ask for them to look up a transaction on the system which does not exist. That would just be plain stupid! Their account tracking system is useless! The long and the short of the story is that I will never again buy Grendha from any Edgars outlet. You have FAILED me as a customer of many many years. In the same month that I got the plain black sandals in exchange for the broken pair, I ordered a pair of Grendha online from another supplier and three more pairs from a different supplier. Believe me when I tell you that the shoes from other suppliers are still going strong without fail. This is just another confirmation for me that they are selling some kind of factory rejected or substandard Grendha shoes. You are putting the brand to SHAME!! And you have FAILED me as a loyal customer and Grendha fanatic. I feel it necessary that the public knows about my negative experiences regarding their Grendha sandals so that you can be spared the complete waste of time of purchasing your Grendha there. I will never purchase Grendha at Edgars again.
