Be wary of dealing with a construction and handyman company called Talco fire projects. I dealt with a guy called Andrew Mafunga. He says it is his company. The project they did for me was below standard and I had to spend more money to correct their work. I even had to spend money to finish the project because they left without finishing. On one job a client of mine asked for plumbing work. They overcharged her and told her they could also do her electricity. The client's place almost burned down due to incorrect wiring. Luckily we noticed before things went horribly wrong. If you want to use them do it at your own risk.

I have attempted to book my car on rent my ride in order to earn a bit of extra cash since I do not drive much. I work from home. There have been issues with their system, which do not allow me to select the correct details of the car I am loading. I have sent them several emails over a period of two weeks and this problem is still not resolved. They listed +27 21 461 0609 as their direct contact number. But, every time you call it the message is the same: 'Our office ours are week days 9 to 5... in case of emergency contact "this number" good bye" I am wondering if their customers are not also experiencing this kind of bad service.
I am really one who loves supporting small and local businesses. But, some of these small businesses take our support for granted. I contacted one A nd R Welding to sort out my gate the one time. I found them through Bark. They came running and sorted my gate well. I paid and decided to give them more work. I asked them to fix my sink. They asked for a deposit of R1 950. I paid this on 16 August 2019. To this day, my sink is not fixed. I have been given a whole lot of reasons ranging from "the steel is being galvanised" to "our tools are locked away in violence-ridden Hout bay." Each time I am the one doing the follow-up. They don't tell you anything or call when they promise to call back. On the 23rd of Sept 19, they told me they were on their way to collect their tools. Today 4 October 19, after I followed up again, they told me they failed to collect their tools (even though they have also said they are busy with other work, which I think they are using magic tools on). https://aandrwelders.co.za/ I would not recommend them to anyone seeking repairs or similar work.
FRAUD ALERT Be on the lookout for this company, Bin Shop with Web Adress: http://wheeliebinshop.co.za/index.html The registration number and VAT numbers they are using belong to another company, not at all related to them. Their bank details are also not linked to the company that they say they are.
When I signed up with these guys, I thought my website was going to rank well on Google. It did not. When you search for them on Google, you will also find that they even do not rank well themselves. When I tried to cancel the contract after six months of not getting a return of my investment, I was told I needed to stick with them for 12 months (that is until Jan 2019). Attempts to resolve the issue with them proved fruitless. They promised to call me. When they called me I was in meetings. They never called, but continue to to send me their invoices. I do not know how else to deal with them.
I took out a contract with Telkom in June 2018, must have been around 25 June. On Tuesday 24 July my number was suspended. I called Telkom and they advised this was a mistake on their side. My account is up to date. I should expect service back on Wednesday. Wednesday came and I still had no service. I called again and I was told that my case has been escalated and that I should expect service back in 5 hours. On Thursday 26 July I called again, I was given a case number, I was told my case will be resolved. No resolution was reached. Saturday, I called again and I was told to wait five hours. Today is Monday 30 July, almost a week after I was illegally supsneded and I am still out of service as I write this. Now, I know I should raise a complaint if my issues have not been resolved within 14 days. I have a few exceptions: • I cannot possibly wait 14 days without a service • Telkom illegally disconneted me. I picked up the error. They did not communicate with their customers to say they have had a technical issue • They have not kept us updated on how they are resolving the issue and what steps they have taken to address unhappy clients • I am a freelancer and I have missed out on a few business leads that needed me to call them • As a result, I have had to buy another simcard and handset in order to stay connected. In my business, if you are not reachable or unable to contact your customers you become irrelevant • I have raised displeasure with the services provider on theor various platforms and messages get ignored • Today (30 July 2018), I called a call centre 2 times. The first time the call dropped on me even before I got help. I was just told to hold until the line went dead. Second time I called I asked to speak to a manager who can resolve my case but I was told she was busy on another call and unable to help me. She was goingto call me back. This was at 1pm. Now it is 5pm and no call have I received.
